Default WTF is up with the forum?

The new "functionality" is anything but.

Both at home and at work, on both Firefox and Internet Explorer, there's a new section to the left of thread titles that tells me the frequency of my posts in a thread. There's a button to left of every thread titled "Go to the first new post," and if I try clicking just the title instead of that, I get an error message saying the post doesn't exist.

That coupled with all the pop-up ads that have been added to site, are really souring the user experience.

i donno what you're talking about with the frequency thing, I don't think I have that. I don't have a problem clicking either the "go to first unread" or just the thread title.

Maybe it's just you.

(also, ads are hidden for me 90% of the time. )

I see the mouse-over frequency thing but I don't see how it is a problem, it's just an icon feature telling you if you've read the thread and if you have responded to it or not - and if you mouse over something you've responded to it shows you how many times and when the last time was.

On the new posts vs. thread title - both are working for me. The new posts "V" isn't very new though, it's been around for quite awhile.

I've tried this from both the "New Posts" search result and by looking in individual forums - seems to work just fine in both. Going to pages and Last Page also work for me.

There are a few problems right now. I have noticed them too. I'm on it. It works, albeit with a few problems. Just bear with me.

that helped! the page was all jumbled before (everything seems to be in a good location now).

JP thanks for the heads up - the title links still aren't working, but Axis's tip helped quite a bit with my other issues.

I had an issue with that, try starting from the main page and going that way (means you will have to redo your bookmarks) because it seems some of the pages have changed and some of my old bookmarks bring up a "damaged page and links that go to nowhere - this page does not exist.

But going to the front page and then making new BMs from there seemed to do the trick.

Hmm... I'm not sure whether JP Fitness is responsible for the new problems I'm experiencing, but they started cropping up right after I logged in (For the first time since May 4th, so things were just fine for at least two months). Right after logging in, I went to Off-Topic, only to find that I'd been disconnected. I logged back in and returned to the main forum page, only to find that I was logged back out. I then visited the few other message boards I go to, only to find that I've been logged out everywhere, and I can't stay logged in to any email or forum longer than maybe 30 seconds, if that. It seems that my first log-in to these forums completely fried my cookies. Any suggestions? I'm using Opera, if that helps.

And strangely enough, there's at least one place I can't even log into despite using the correct password. I even had the password emailed to me to make sure it was correct. Oh, and everything works fine with Internet Explorer - I'd just rather use Opera, being my browser of choice.

Okay, I think I fixed it. For some reason, the initial log-in switched things from "Switch Cookies" to "Don't Accept Cookies."

Yeah, it's fixed now. Still worth looking into, though, just in case there's some people that aren't as smart as me and incapable of fixing it themselves.
