Hey guys, I have a tryout of sorts writing about baseball at

http://www.baseballdailydigest.com/

Check it out, I'm David Wade- if any of you like baseball (or even if you don't, but you like to help out fellow forumites), go there and read stuff, it'd be a big help.

He passes the 50 post limit so he is good. Of course now I'm hungry for a spam sandwich.

BTW. I like the article. I think Holliday is done on the A's. It's just a matter of where.

I should start whining about my FBB team here.

Is that a fried egg on there? The "boing" must be the sound you hear coming from your gut.

It's really that I don't have a lot of time. I would rather play the real thing with my son than sit behind a desk staring at a computer monitor thinking about how other peoples children are going to play in the near future.

I have 10 hours of practice this week and a family camping trip. Not to mention I do actually work. I'll be lucky to set my lineup for next week.

Boys on my team are asking what level you start bunting. I told them never, as long as I'm the coach.

(Not really never, but my sabermetric tendencies make me hate bunting)

I work baseball tournaments, and was watching one game Memorial Day weekend when the home team was down two. Leadoff kid doubles (They're 11 or 12) and so the coach has the next kid bunt the kid on second over to third. (blatant sacrifice)

Yes. Down two.

I was so pissed that I almost started badmouthing him to the parents, but then realized that I probably shouldn't do that.

He got his butt bailed out because the other team crapped themselves with two outs and they ended up winning, but wow... when I went to go get the score I was about to ask him to explain what the hell he was thinking.

Nice articles but I am honestly done with PEDs in baseball. I don't care any more. When it happens in football it is buried on page 6. Why is baseball so different? I'm over it and wish some one would find something else to talk about.

These guys are special athletes and I'm going to watch them do what they do. I wish they wouldn't take PED's. I want the league to do something about it but I'm not going to obsess over it.

Next subject please.

Yeah it's not really a shock. At least he didn't get the big head. Poor Bonds misunderstood what that meant and know he can't buy a hat.

bumpity bump bump.

Got myself retained for 2010 and will even start drawing a small stipend now.

Once again, it's baseballdailydigest.com and if you click 'blog' near the top-center, my name is David Wade and it'll bring up anything I've written. This off-season I'm going to try to do a player bio (sort of a blast from the past with interesting players) every week.

I hit a 265 bench at my lowest bodyweight ever a few days ago as well.

This is one of the few places I can brag about these things and someone other than my immediate family might care.

Might care.

That's awesome. My lowest recorded body weight was 7lbs. 9 oz. If you got 265 up, even if you weigh double that, that's amazing. I could only bench 135 back then, but I was really concentrating more on form at the time.

I'm an Astros fan, such as it is these days, so there's not much to read and/or talk about from a baseball front, except to suppose who might give us their farm system in exchange for Roy Oswalt.

hahaahaha- that's great! How 'bout lowest bodyweight while benching 265.

This writing thing might not be such a good idea after all...
