You guys have officially made a lurker into a poster.
As a quick intro, my name is JT. My gf Nancy and I came up to the Summit last weekend. I think it was an amazing experience, not just to be surrounded by a bunch of great ppl (Mahler & his frozen custard!!!), but also ppl passtionate about fitness. Not everyone was a iron head like me, but I enjoyed the fact that everyone loved fitness in some way. Us folks are an endagered breed, and I can find myself hard pressed to find such a high concentration of like minded individuals anywhere.
Thank you for welcoming a stranger into your fold with open arms. I think after a few years of lurking, I may finally have something to worthwhile to say...

JT, it was great meeting you and Nancy. You guys were great and a great addition to our summit team. You are both clearly really knowledgeable and I look forward to reading your posts now you're out of hiding. Welcome!
Rob

Sorry to those who I didn’t get a chance to speak with, as you probably could tell I’m actually very shy around new people… please don’t take my quietness to mean I’m being ignorant. It’s strange that I can speak in front of 400 people and deliver a good presentation but I struggle with smalltalk. I realize that sometimes I appear ‘standoffish’ but honestly I try not to be. The more I see people and build a rapport the more I come out my shell. next year folks….
If not for the incredible noise in the restaraunt on Friday nights, I would have had you talking. If for nothing else to hear that sexy British accent. We girls can't get enough of that. Of course it would have been after I ate my two plus dinners. No offense taken from me. It was a pleasure to meet you face to fact if only for a few moments.

JT -
enjoyed talking to you and Nancy, at breakfast Sunday morning and at Nick's before you left for the airport, and hope both of you can come back next year

It was great to meet you. Nice to see you remembered your screen name.
Before I forget to say this again, thanks to everyone for the thanks, and most importantly, for coming to the summit. The summit is not the summit without the people who travel from all over the world to attend.

My stomach was hurting from laughing so hard. And the fact that you were initially at the point of "what's so funny?" makes it even better.
(as not to ruin the secret but to give the context, Neil made a flippant comment that made me double over in laughter as the group was discussing the weekend)

I have to agree. JT and Nancy were a big surprise. JT, don't think I didn't have my doubts when you walked into dinner on Friday with a black tee that had white lettering reading "ManWhore."
And, Neil, you left out one fantastically funny moment. When we had lunch at Winsteads and you ordered your burger with lettuce and "tomahto." The waitress said, with a puzzled look, "I don't think we have that." PRICELESS.

Yeah, I had a few of those moments over the weekend

I knew a Hal once. He didn't seem the fitness type tho.
But, the problem is if it's called that we'll all have to fall asleep and not remember any of it.

What do you think happened to some of us at this year's Summit?

What do you think happened to some of us at this year's Summit?
I think you all got together and decided on "tales" to tell and lies to spread about how fucking sweetly nice you all are in person, and "the best" and all that silly shit, while calling each other "gay" and consuming copious amounts of alcohol and starting fights on playgrounds at boring baseball games. DUH!
yay! thanks everyone for being so COOL! jt and i had so much fun. and mahler, i had my doubts about my boyfriend as well when he wanted that shirt the second we stepped into a store in the Castro (gay district in San Francisco), but i think he's still attracted to me as a straight man 'ought to be

Not at all, is why I'm gonna be sure to go next year. I need people to lie about how nice I am.
Hey, Michael's been operating on that premiss for years!!!
