Grayson Rose

Hey Guys,
One of my friends, Matt, lost his daughter "Grayson" at 35 weeks last fall. He's a local radio personality and is known for his wacky antics- and this just broke my heart. They just came up with a really cool fundraiser for March of Dimes - there's a rosebush named "Grayson Rose" and 40% of the proceeds go to March of Dimes. I'm actually getting them for my Mom and Future Mother in Law for Mother's day - they're pretty decently priced $18.95 and I can't see any shipping and handling. I just thought it was a cool way to help support march of dimes, and to remember Grayson.

Comparing it to their other roses it looks like they have raised the price a few dollars which in turn will go to the charity. So most likely their profit will stay the same but the few bucks extra from each bush will go to the charity. Not a bad deal for the charity considering the vendor seems to be doing all the work.

In their pockets. BUT I have EVERYTHING pink (big surprise, right?) and it claims "a portion" of the proceeds goes to Susan G. Komen - yes, all of 2% and I'm sure that they mark them up as well. My thoughts are that a) I need the product b) it comes in pink and c) I get to help charity all 2% of my money and all. We're landscaping our yard so these roses end up working perfectly and they fulfill a, b, and c BUT more than 2% will go to charity so it's a win-win for me.
