Default Battlestar Galactica - SPOILERS

SPOILERSSSS

It's finally finished. I generally like the end although it was a bit Lord of the Ringsish with multiple points of ending. I was a bit confused that Cara was suddenly "not there" seemed a bit of a cop out to say she was an "angel". The point in the middle of the firefight when Caprica 6 and Gaius see their "godlike" counterparts was bordering on the slapstick "you can see her/him too!?"

On the whole though I thought it was a very good series, now I have nothing to watch on Saturday mornings

I can't spell either ...bah!

There were at least a couple of things I would have changed. The biggest was the death of Laura. We all knew that it was happening, but I think it would have played better if they'd dropped the death scene and just cut to him talking on the hillside. That way they could have simply planned to the grave afterwards.

I don't know, the ending was kind of wussy (can't think of a better word). I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it just didn't feel right.

I'm thinking of getting out the DVDs for either Babylon 5 or Farscape to fill the gap.

I loved season one, then when it jumped the shark during season two, I stopped waiting for the next season. It was still going, huh?

I hated the finale. I think Kara as an angel was a total copout. I feel like I watched "6th sense" and I need to go back and watch all the parts since her "death" to see if it would really fit with the whole angle thing... meh.

I hated that they all went their separate ways, gave up on not just tech but on being a community or society or whatnot. I'm not asking for a happy Hollywood "and they all lived happily ever after" but I was SO disappointed in the finale. I did NOT feel like all my questions were answered and everything was revealed... Why did the hybrid and Sam keep saying she was a harbinger of death if she was actually an angel who led them to Earth? Or did I just miss something???

Sadly letdown... bleh.

I agree with your resentment Bytsi. Harbinger of death my arse, she types in the right co-ordinates for a blind jump to "Earth", that's her destiny!?. Also surely she would have known the co-ordinates anyway seeing as that was the RV point for the fleet (or did they RV somewhere else and Galactica told them to come)?

The opera house thing was also a let down, I mean you do not need visions to release that you take the "objective" to the bridge...

I think that the authors had no clue how to end it...

If I remember correctly, I think Hoshi said to the Admiral (when they were on the new earth) something like how happy he was when he saw that Raptor, so I was thinking that Kara jumped to the coordinates that she got from the song, then sometime later they somehow contacted or found the rest of the fleet (with a Raptor) and had them jump to the new Earth.

Overall, yes it had flaws and didn't answer everything, but I really enjoyed the whole series and I'm kinda sad that its over. I'm glad that they didn't end it with them still searching for earth and just keep us guessing as to what happened to them.
