I tried searching for posts on this, but wasn't able to find any combination of terms that didn't result in a barrage of posts... So... I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good scale for weigh-ins. I currently use the one at the corporate gym but it's inaccessible when I'm not at work, so I'd like to have something I can do a true daily weigh-in on. Thanks for advance for replies.

Head to bed/bath/beyond (maybe it's in the beyond department) and get a scale. If it's over $50 it's prolly pretty decent. At least, that's what we have found. Usually they're pretty accurate so long as they're not ubercheap when it comes to weight only.
We have an omron (it says HBF512 on it) that is pretty overkill but nice. Has a pullout handle for bf measuring and the like. Has memory and measures weight, bf, skeletal muscle, and visceral fat, as well as gives you bmi and some "you're this body age" number. It's consistent, which is nice, and can be programmed for up to 4 people as well as have a guest option. And, you can just stand on it and only get your weight.
We've also had salter and tanita. The salter cheap one ($30 about 8 years ago) was bad, but the expensive ones (over $50) were decent.
I have a Tanita - don't know the model. It can do BF but I never use that feature. It can remember up to 4 people, I don't use that feature.
I like it because you kick the button, step on, it beeps when it has your weight, you step off and read it (the display remains for a few seconds). That is, you don't have to contort your neck and body to see the display while you are on - you can just stand straight, tall and still while it measures and then step off to read it. It also measures to tenths of a pound. IIRC it can also do kg if you prefer.
I'm most interested in accurate weight, though I like the idea of not having to contort yourself to see what you weigh. The other stuff would be nice, but if it raises the price a lot, i could forego it. I'd like to keep it under $100 or so.

When I first got my scale I played with it.
Weighed self. Three or four times in a row. Wait 10 mins. Weigh again 2-3 times.
All within a good margin of error - a few tenths if any difference.
Drank 1 pint water (1 pint weighs 1 pound).
Weighed again - went up 1 pound as expected.
Weigh a 2 lb DB. Weigh self. Weigh self with DB. All as expected.
Now, it will weigh a little different if you move it on the floor - but I think that is my floor rather than the scale.
