There's a Deep Purple live album where at the beginning of Smoke on the Water (last track) - they pay homage to other famous songs/riffs by playing recognizable parts in succession - I recognize them but can't name them - can you more musically astute folks help me out? Mostly I say "oh shoot what's the name of that" followed by "if only my brain could get me to the lyrics"
as an example at 02:40 or so - The Kinks, "You Really Got Me" -- but what are the rest?

Stairway, solo from Stairway (that's alotta chorus on guitar), sweet home alabamy, Little Wing, You Really Got Me (Van Halen version), Mr Big (? big in Japan).
Maybe too easy but anyone remember who's concert Smoke On The Water was written about?
