Default Ipod Arm Bands

I have an Ipod arm band that I've been using for about 3 months. I noticed about a month and a half ago that it really started to reek. Does anyone else have this problem, is there anyway to decontaminate that stench? Is it washable?

I would think it's at least hand washable.

unless it's leather/suede, you can at least swish it in some laundry soap and water and then rinse. Washing machine is usually easier if you have a garment net to hold it and keep it from getting tied around the rest of your laundry.
I'd hang dry, though.
