I had to wait 1.5 hours. I got to the polling place 30 minutes early, and all in all it wasn't too bad. We had nice weather and once polls opened up it went rather quickly.

Got there 20 minutes early and saw a pretty good-sized line, waited another 20 minutes after polls opened, was outta there total time about 50 minutes.
I live in a county that is all vote by mail - I miss being an election judge or whatever they called it. We have only two counties in the state that are not vote by mail.

I arrived at 6:30 and I had to wait about 35 minutes. My dad had got there about 20 minutes before the polls open at 6:00 and there was already a sizeable line.
I found out as I waited that they had combined two precincts, so this one polling place now had to handle twice as many people as last year.

I got to the polls right at 6am and there was already a huge line. I ended up waiting nearly two hours and, of course, it was raining. I've never seen such a huge turnout in my district, so that was pretty cool.
My wife went in at 4:00 and it took her about 5 minutes. I'm pretty pissed I woke up early to try to "beat the rush".

I showed up at precisely 4:20, just for the high of it. No wait. There was an open booth right next to my mother-in-law. RedWifey and her dad voted earlier in the day, so all four of us are now done.

I mailed in an absentee ballot last week since I had no idea if i'd be out of town working today or not. I've had my fill of campaign rallies for awhile now.
Showed up 45 minutes before the polls closed (quarter of 7), no lines, no waiting, 5 minutes, done. Not really sure it made sense for those who waited in line an hour for "early" voting this past Friday. :P
It's all about the timing. 30 min before the poll closes, in nice little suburbiaville, there's no wait, no irritating people outside trying to last minute get you to vote their way, etc. In, out, and off to get groceries. My strategy every election.
