Default I think I just dodged a corporate bullet...

my manager called at home to tell me of a Monday conf call to discuss our company's reorg and how it's going to affect the dept. He gave me assurances that no major changes were planned for our dept, but he did say he would discuss changes happening elsewhere, perhaps stuff that would affect us.

Still, I was laying down to nap a bit when the call came. I can't sleep now, mainly because I think the gun will get leveled in our direction eventually.

Hope it works out for you brother. Sucks to have it hit on a Friday and sets you up for a crappy weekend. Hang in there.

I'm curious, too. How did it go?

A lot of abstract talking about service design, service delivery and service management.

It all boils down to this:

My dept is pretty much staying as is. My boss will report to someone new (since they axed his previous boss) and they are marrying the two data processes: scheduling and management (I'm in the management portion).

Hopefully that's the end of it.

The last time a Manager told me and the rest of the dept that there would be no big changes, he merged what was effectively client support and student support into a single support dept.
