Default Desk Jockey's

For you desk jockey's...do any of you have a good suggestion for a standing desk or something to add to my desk so I can stand from time to time and work on my laptop? I get tired if sitting sometimes but can't find the room for a whole other desk nor can I find a way to add something that won't look like crap. Any ideas?

I work with doctors and LOTS of them have desks that can raise up so that they can stand. They're pretty cool actually - they have settings like a car seat would that would program to different people and everything.

Do you use Microsoft Outlook or some other calendar manager? You can set yourself hourly reminders to get up and move.

You may want to run a search on this topic - there were thread(s) on this a year or two ago.

They are cool. The instructor's desks in some of our classrooms raise up and down like this. Very nice, since it can be irritating to operate the computer and multimedia console all through class if the desk is down at "sitting" level.

A stand-up desk.

Hard_rox has one...or did at one point.

Thanks guys and gals. I will check those out. And yes, I get up and move constantly but often times I just want to stay up.
