Yep. The Wyoming chapter is having a cold IPA right now. We (well ok, me) spent the afternoon at the CFD rodeo, and then we picked up some BBQ pork on the way home. It's out on the grill keeping warm while we (me) ponder whether another cold beer is required.

Meeting will now come to order!

The Carolinas chapter attempted a meeting on Thursday, but ultimately, only two people showed up after the memo delivery system failed and therefore, with no quorum present, all business items were tabled indefinitely and drinking commenced.

RacerBill will be in the area and we thought it would be a good time to get together for dinner and a few drinks. Anyone in the area is welcome to join and meet a few of the guys from the forums.

Way up north where no one else lives--Coudersport (in Potter County), you know, where all your friends have their hunting cabins?!

While I'd certainly like to join this august body, I'll be away in NYC Fri-Mon, and I doubt work would like me taking off more time in a crunch on short notice.

Tioga county!!! We did a 3-day vaca in Tionesta, which I think is that area, right? At a ranch where we rode horses all day and stayed in a gorgeous little cabin, shopped for antiques, etc... it was about 1-2 hours N of Oil City, if memory serves (it was years ago)...

Beautiful country up there!

Boy Tom, you are my neighbor! I'm in Coudersport so that counts. What is it, a couple of hours? Ever hear of Ski Denton? That's us...

And yup, Bytsi, it is beautiful country...I love living here and wouldn't trade it for anything. Not having close theater/art/museum type stuff is a definite drawback (not to mention SHOPPING), but all things considered I'll keep the PA Wilds and travel to the wild wild city!

No I haven't - though I think I was out your direction a couple of years ago, when I participated in the Hyner View Challenge at Hyner View State Park.

As for symphony, as John (Mahler) already knows, I subscribe to the Philadelphia Orchestra - I go to about 9 concerts a year down there. Also a member of the Philadelphia Museum of Art particularly to see their special exhibitions. Not sure how far Philly is from you, but it's quite the cultural hot spot.

Tom, that park is south of us, we're close to the NY border. Wow, that Challenge looks amazing--and scary! How was it?

Also, Philly is 5 hrs from us...Buffalo is the closest city at 2 hrs.

Hee hee oh it was. When I did it, it was 15.6 miles, and I did 9 miles of it. (The 9 mile mark was where you passed the beer tent, and other amenities - you could go on and do the last 6.6 miles in a loop, or go and have beer and rest. I chose the latter. I felt I did pretty well, considering I didn't train at all well for it.

I can't decide if that sounds like real fun and I want to do it, or if I should stay far far away... Good for you though!

Here's the view from Hyner View. My friend and I drove up to get a look at the course (which starts to the left of where the bridge is). People actually hang glide from the top which was fun to watch.
