Hey, 18! That's old enough to be drafted for MLB, right?

***************************** My Log - PC Plod
Thank you guys and girls! Haven't been around these parts much lately, as I had to turn in my laptop from high school and my mother's PC is so slow that it's too frustrating. Also, I got swept up in the whole end of senior year flow and now working all the time to foot the college tab. However, with my new MacBook here, I hope to be able to stop by more often and stay a while.
Spent my birthday morning at breakfast with my family and then headed down to BSA council to pick up my approved Eagle Application. Nice 18th birthday present, finally accomplishing that goal. Spent a couple hours just lounging around and playing with the Mac and my new iPod touch (which is totally amazing) before heading off to work from 2-10. While working on my birthday may sound like it sucked, it was a lot of fun. I love the people I work with, as they're all incredibly chill, including my manager who challenged me to an arm wrestling match (we called it a draw after about a minute and a half of neither of us budging, as I'm sure all of you were dying to know the result). Dunkin threw me a little empoyee party, complete with a Baskin Robbins cake, and then my family, 2 aunts, and 3 cousins came during my break and turned the dining area into a big BR party. Work was very slow today, so I got to spend a good amount of time with them. Add in a bunch of people I know coming in and 2 of my closest friends coming in to spend some time, and work was fun today, albeit very slow and incredibly boring at times.
Went to my friend's house afterwards to just hang out with a bunch of people and got to stay out past midnight and still drive home (legally!)
It poured for most of the day, as it has for many of my birthdays, but a nice day nonetheless. And to top it all off, the birthday balloon tied to the tip jar helped me make some nice coin and I even had a couple of strangers start singing to me when they walked in during my family party.
