Default Tapout?

So I don't follow UFC fighting very much, but Kenny Florian trains at my gym a couple times a week, so I like to know a little about it. Anyway, the "guys from Tapout" shot part of their show here with ESPN today. It featured Kenny.

So, for those in the know, are these guys an "ESPN 3" kinda show, or is it fairly mainstream? Just curious, cause if they're on "for real", it would be kinda cool to see my workplace on ESPN.

The tapout guys are kinda weird. They are all dressed up for some reason. In like, wigs and masks. The show kinda sucks too.

But tapout as a brand is pretty huge, and they have been around forever.

Cool, thanks.

Yeah, one wore a wig, the other had face paint and a cowboy hat, the 3rd guy wore sunglasses (inside) the entire time. They just sat around on cell phones or lazily doing light leg presses (one guy took a nap with his head on a foam roller)... then when the camera went on they all started laughing and hollering "crazy" stuff and talking loudly. Camera went off, so did they. They ran out and grabbed "some smoothies". Funny stuff!

That's still kinda cool though. If it was for their show, it's usually on Versus (a fight channel). I think the show is just called "Tapout." But if it's something special for ESPN, it may be on ESPN instead.

Yeah, I don't get those guys at all. They "stay in character", which I find bizarre.

Once in awhile the Tapout show has some interesting training segments on, but for the most part it's just annoying.

Ian - yep it's on Versus network, which is the same one showing the Tour de France.
You should've offered to train them and kick their asses - they look like they could use it.

What I wanna know is what have you seen Kenny doing in his training?

I logged about 15 minutes with that show, one time only. It has a "fake wrestling" feel to it.

That Tapout thing looks pretty stupid to me. I watch MMA frequently, including the WEC, EliteXC, UFC, and TUF. But I haven't watched those goofy- looking Tapout guys, and I have no intention of doing so!

It's not worth watching. Like Kuri said, sometimes there's an interesting segment, but overall it's not a very good show.

The Tap Out guys are annoying with the stupid antics and dress-up all the time.

thats 'who they are'.

Not a fan of there clothes or the show, but they have my greatest respect for the money they give to fighters.
