Yuck. Hope you feel better. Don't worry though. If you are flying into Charlotte Douglas everyone there is always sick anyway.

What a terrible way to be sick - on a plan. It happened to my dear husband and I even hate to remember it. Thank goodness I wasn't there to witness it.

If you start feeling sick on the plane, close your eyes and think of 80s hair bands crossbred with cheesy B-movies. It might work:

OMG, that is so awsym.

On the bright side, most people aren't sick the whole pregnancy, just the first bit before they adjust.

I had a friend who for quite a bit denied it, because we guessed and she didn't want it to get out until they were ready. So, I understand, we'll keep it hush hush so your parents don't hear it from us first. CONGRATS tho.

laugh.
I do hope you feel better. Being ANY kind of sick sucks.

Glad you're home and medicated!

The other day when I passed out in the Nail Salon, the EMT's first question was: Is there a possiblity that you're pregnant? I answered and say, "Well, yeah, I do have sex, but I'm on the pill so I am not supposed to be pregnant!" They really didn't want all those details because I hate the way they state that question. I got a negative home test the next day, BTW.

Yeah - I always get the you're pregnant answer if I feel sick. I'll probably be sad when it quits in the same way a person feels when they quit getting asked for their ID.

Get used to it.

I've gotten sick on a plan many times. Once on a school trip to DC I threw up on a friend. Thought I could make it, as the plane had already landed. Bad call, should've reached for the bag anyway. And NO, i wasn't pregnant :P

You used to be able to hear my sister in the back yelling: "That's my sister up front puking".

I'm glad drammamine worked magic and then I guess I just grew out of it by the time I was about 22. I still check for the air sickness bags everytime I fly.

Hope you get better soon!!

I guess that's better than someone asking if you're pregnant because you look like you are...

FRANCIS: Why are you always on about women, Stan?
STAN: I want to be one.
REG: What?
STAN: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me 'Loretta'.
REG: What?!
LORETTA: It's my right as a man.
JUDITH: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
LORETTA: I want to have babies.
REG: You want to have babies?!
LORETTA: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
REG: But... you can't have babies.
LORETTA: Don't you oppress me.
REG: I'm not oppressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb! -- Where's the fetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
LORETTA: [crying]
JUDITH: Here! I-- I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to have babies.
FRANCIS: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
REG: What's the point?
FRANCIS: What?
REG: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can't have babies?!
FRANCIS: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
REG: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

Speaking of throwing up on people on planes...

When Samantha was about 18 months, we were planning on flying up to Michael's parents house for a visit. Unfortunately, I got a stomach virus before we left. I finally stopped throwing up and was trying to eat something that would give me plenty of energy for the airport experience with an 18 month old, so I choose half of a peanut butter sandwich.

To make a long story short, I ended throwing up my sandwich onto my daughter who is HIGHLY allergic to all varieties of nuts. She then broke out in hives so I had to rummage through my bags and give her benedryl and change her clothes.

It was a nightmare!!!

uhg! Flying for us is a nightmare due to my son's peanut allergy. There are alway pieces of peanuts stuck around the seats and he almost always gets sick. My wife now carries a sheet to cover his seat with.

My son's allergy is so bad that my wife and I can not even have peanut butter around him. He once broke out in hives sitting ext to my daughter who was eating a PB abd J. There are no peanut products in our house at all. And most of our friends have gotten rid of theirs for us as well.
