Default Adidas Samba for wider feet?

I've been all over Charlotte and the surrounding area. I've Googled until my eyes glazed over. I've dug through various fitness and running forums (including this one). I've done everything short of posting a new thread... until now. I've looked at the Sambas, attempted (and failed) to find Puma H Streets (prefer mesh tops, but even the leathers are scarce), and Nike Frees no longer come in 3.0 (though I had similar wide-foot problems with them as well).

So, suggestions would be sweet. This is, of course, in addition to the Vibram Five Fingers I got today

I'm asking for a recommendation for a Samba-like shoe (thin-soled, flat, unsupportive, like a lot of people in general) that fits wider feet.

Trust me, I've been all over the Internet looking for a good alternative, but no suggestions have popped up yet.

Same fit as the Sambas, too narrow for me. Oh well, one more mall et al to look through tomorrow. After that, I may just wear these Vibrams everywhere and embarrass whoever's with me

Dude, there's nothing embarrassing about the vibrams. We wear ours together... but mine are red so definitely cooler.
Otto has the same problem, 4E and all the stuff that WAS great seems no longer available. We have a Fleet Feet here, but I don't think they have flat shoes. I donno if we've found anything recently.

I have a pair of indoor soccer shoes that are Sambas but not the normal black ones. They're Samba Original, classic, optimum, something like that. They're white. They run a little wider so I could manage with them okay.

Actually, Millenium! Thank you, google.

Normally I wear a New Balance 11.5 EE... I think I got these in a 12 and they worked out okay. Most of my problem is height. My Vibram sprints, I had to go up a size 'cuz the strap wouldn't go across my foot far enough for the velcro to catch. :P

Oh and I got them at Dicks. Not all of of the Dicks have them around here, we had to go 30-40 minutes away for the bigger dicks.

Holy crap, did I just type that? :-O

I've seen the Milleniums advertised along with the Classics (the ones I tried on) in my online searches. I'll start giving those a little more scrutiny.

And hey, at least you only traveled 30-45 minutes. Some people go across the country and around the world--wait, nevermind...
