I haven't posted much in the last while for several reasons, school being the primary one.
This last year has been an interesting one, and school took center stage in my life, enough so that my workouts and diet have left something to be desired, but that is not why I am posting.
School is done boys and girls. After 2 years I have finished my diploma program. I guess I am now an "Exploration Technologist" by program title. (I finished with a 4.0 gpa btw)
After an initial dry spell and a little worrying I landed several interviews which turned into landing several jobs. In the end I accepted a job with British Petroleum (BP.com) as a Geological Technologist. I start on May 20th so I get some down time as well as time to get my physical self back into the game!
At the end I can sit back and look at my life over the last few years and offer this advice to everyone: Hard work will bring you what you desire.
Thanks to everyone who helped and were inspirational to me, whether you know it or not.
Og.

Congratulations Og. Is that 4.0 out of a possible 10 points?

Congrats, Og!!! Can't believe it's been two years already. Seems like just last fall you were contemplating taking classes. And I don't think you're the only one around here that works for BP.
Well maybe the enemy but at least they are not the frenchies! I worked for them over the summer
Yes, the time has flown in lots of respects, seems weird I don't have to go back to school. The job from what little I know is a position utilizing arcGIS. So sounds like I get to make maps. All the other jobs I landed were typically information management type roles. This is more the direction I want to go.

Congrats, Og. Nice going - and good to have another oil man on the board! There are at least two other BP types on the board in addition to you. Yikes.

There goes the neighborhood.
Welcome back, Og.

Congrats! Hope this means you'll be able to hang around here more.
Well... I'd still be willing to have you over for dinner, but I'd have to hide the fact that you work for BP, otherwise the neighbors would show up with torches and pitchforks. They might force-feed you the wild strawberries that grow in my backyard.

That makes it a palindrome. Og would appreciate that.
He appreciates it more if you add an r in there some where.
mmmm grog....(ok you need to take an o out as well)
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I will certainly try and be more prominent here again, god knows without the peer group here I have gotten fatter!
