Man accused of trying to cash check for $360,000,000,000

07:59 PM CDT on Wednesday, April 30, 2008

From Staff Reports A man has been accused of attempting to pass a $360 billion check, which he claims was given to him by his girlfriend’s mother to start a record business, Fort Worth police said.
Charles Ray Fuller

Charles Ray Fuller, 21, of Crowley, was arrested on April 22 on an accusation of forgery, police said.

Police responded to a report of a man attempting to pass the check about 4 p.m. that day at the Chase bank in the 8600 block of South Hulen Street, Fort Worth police Lt. Paul Henderson said.

The personal check was not made out to Mr. Fuller and when the bank contacted the check owner, the woman said she did not write a check for $360 billion.

Mr. Fuller was also accused of unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of marijuana, Lt. Henderson said. He may also face a theft charge in Crowley.

Lt. Henderson said he did not know if Mr. Fuller and his girlfriend were still together.
What makes you think you are going to be able to pass a cheque for $360 BILLION and not get caught, seriously wtf!

The primary element that the criminal justice system depends upon is the stupidity of the criminal. This guy, however, attempts to exceed the scope of the word "stupid."

PS. Message to Mr. Fuller. If you close your eyes when they take your picture, people will still see you.

He probably thought that the amount was something like $360,000.00 not 360 billion. But even then I get the Third Degree when I go to the bank and withdraw $4000 to go to Vegas and those people know me.

He is probably high as a kite and that is as much as he can open them.

I love that the 360 billion was to open a record store. If I had 360 Billion, screw opening any business I am set.

So he goes to a bank to pass a bad check, for more than all the banks in Ft Worth have on hand, while carrying a gun and a bag of pot? Wow.

He may have been able to get $360. Which could have gotten him a sandwich and more weed.

He's obviously gone to the George W Bush/Dick Cheney school of finance and funding (or about 45 days or so of Iraq war costs). [dragging this thread down to CE, kicking and screaming ]

Criminals arent exactly smart. If they were, it'd make my job a lot harder :p

I was at an event last week where the general public had to enter through a checkpoint with metal detectors. It was open to everyone, just a quick screening to make sure you didn't have any weapons on you. Not the brightest idea to bring a bag of pot when you have to go through a screening by police to get in.

Or used to getting his monthly welfare check for being a non-contributing member of society, so it never occurred to him that this was wrong.

Wow - and here I thought you were pretty much a Dubya supporter.

Wha....? Oh, you're talking about the guy in the photo above, not President Bush.

Yep, we have other people to blame for creating our failed system of social programs. Finally, something that can't be pinned on the W.
