Default Anyone know the reputation of this business school?

I have been accepted to Washington University's Olin School of Business for a degree in Finance...I was wondering if anyone knew what their reputation is in the finance/investing world? Are they a big name or off the radar? Thanks!

Zach,
Just out of curiosity, where are you looking to work? Do you have an industry/region in mind?

Reason I ask is, there are some things that rankings always fail to consider...

That said, it is right around #25 if you believe US News and Business Week rankings. I would say that it is a good school based on that, but I have known people who went to Indiana (Kelley) and to Duke (Fuqua) which are both in the top 20 and they had hard times getting jobs due to issues unrelated to their grades. (ie, the bulk of alumni from Indiana were not located in New York, where this person wanted to go. In addition, recruiters were less likely to make it to Bloomington for 'on campus' visits etc.).

I guess I would try to find out how well Olin places people in the area you are interested in. As an example, Tuck has a great reputation for investment management, Wharton spits out bankers galore, and HBS and Stanford dominate the PE industry.
I'm sure you can call career services at Olin and find out where the last 3 classes have been placed by region and industry. That is, in part, how I made my business school decision.
