Thumbs up Spirit of the Marathon in theatres 02/21!

“Spirit of the Marathon” is an award-winning documentary film that captures the drama and essence of the famed 26.2 mile running event known as the marathon. Filmed on four continents, the production brings together a diverse cast of amateur athletes and marathon luminaries. As six unique stories unfold, each runner prepares for and ultimately faces the challenge of the Chicago Marathon. More than a sports program, “Spirit of the Marathon” is an inspirational journey of perseverance and personal triumph; a spectacle that will be embraced by runners and non-runners alike.

You've got one more chance to catch "Spirit of the Marathon" on the big screen in high-definition with Cinema Surround Sound on Thursday, February 21st at 7:30PM (local).

Ha... Did they catch the drama with all the people collapsing in what has been labelled one of the worst organized major marathons in the country?

Ya know, maybe, maybe not, but watching a movie about a bunch of very emmaciated looking people running for hours doesn't strike me as all that interesting, anymore than watching rednecks turn left for two hours.

I think they have footage of me trying not to pass out at mile 21. It was filmed during the 2005 Chicago Marathon, so no footage of the carnage. It's actually a really good flick, but it's making me mad that they are spamming the crap out of it right now, that's the second time this site has gotten one of these. A-holes.
