I hope he checks in with us soon! It'd be great to hear that he's healthy and hanging in there.

According to the bottom of the main page he is logged in this morning, unless his mom is using his home computer?

Hey guys! Cleared out my inbox for you Bill, I can't believe I forgot to do that earlier, doh!

I usually get on twice a day, once in the morning and evening. I'm not sure why JP's keeps me logged in so long, but I've been told it does that frequently. All is good for me. Life is pretty busy, with a few slow moments here and there. Afghanistan is an interesting place...

It could be a lot worse though, I'm pretty blessed. I'm logging a ton of flight time, so I'm stoked about that!

I was going to ask you if there was anything you or your buddies need to make your lives a little better? Obviously, if you have INTERNET access twice a day things are at least partially civilized where your at. I was thinking books, Cd's, special food, a stripper in a burka, that sort of thing. Post here or IM me. I'm sure the JP community could flood you with stuff if you only let us know. Thanks for what you're doing and stay safe.

I traded the pink luggage for a Pirates of the Caribbean pistol and haji-pirated copies of the seasons of The Office and Numb3rs at the bazaar. Sucker!

Really, life here in the wire isn't too rough. The weather went from freezing to real warm in two days, the dust blows, but the country outside of the cities is beautiful. I have no room to complain, IMO. It could be worse and people in this world have it harder then me. Flying around and occasionally getting shot at is not that big of burden when compared to the way others suffer, so I'm not too worried. Being away from home sucks, thats my only gripe.

The best things to send is food! The cheap, unhealthy, delicious kind of food you would never ask anyone from a fitness forum to send. Also, toiletries are good, since the selection is small here (Shick Quattro blades, lol). Entertainment stuff is cool also, but what is simple and awesome is letters. I appreciate everyone's generosity here and I've already got letters from people here, which is really great. I'm extremely grateful for the kind words, everyone.

Don't worry too much about me, I'm getting a paid vacation! It's all good

If anyone wants to write, etc. just PM me for my address. I don't think posting it on the public forum is a great idea. I'm not really itching for man on man porn spam snail mail.

I need a little help if anyone can. Sal likes Little Debby Oatmeal Cream Pies which I can't seem to find around here. If anyone can locate some please PM me for his address and help out our friend in Kandahar.

P.S. He likes Slim Jims too.

The best cream pies are the jumbo ones. They're at least three times bigger than the normal but they still only count as one.

Bill,

Can you PM me Sal's address please. I was thinking of making him a package with a few English goodies.

A few of my old friends from University are over there now as officers, I'll just double up on what I'll send them.

That's great. By my count there are at least five people sending Sal all manner of unhealthy stuff.
