Default Anybody familiar with OpenOffice?

Just wondering if anyone has any familiarity with the OpenOffice suite, specifically OpenOffice Base. If so, was wondering if you could help me out with a problem.

Thanks

Sorry, I use OO but don't really use base at all, just docs and spreadsheets.

I used it a long time ago, it's been a while... but I might be able to help. What's the problem?

I've figured out the answers to the bigger problems I've had. What's left is a kinda quirky one. I'm using Base, the database program. I want to create reports and I have no problem doing that. I'm trying to figure out if I can play around to establish the margins and boundaries of these reports so that each column is in line - sizewise - with the information in it. For example, the column for "Item #" is a lot wider than it needs to be, while the column for "Item" is narrower than is desirable. I'm trying to see if I can modify the default setting to save these adjustments that I wish to make. I can do it for each report individually, but if I could modify it once and then save the template, it'd be a lot easier.
