I am in a bit of a fix here for the right combo for my suit. I have 2 weddings coming up, both which are very important to me. For the first I shall be going in a all black and white outfit. Black suit, white vest, black shirt and white tie.
The second I am a bit confused. The combos are below.

The top one is more subtle and classy, so if you're going and just wanting to fit in with everyone, it's the winner. I don't know your relationship status, but most girls around your age would think you look very nice and well put together. You would impress all age groups, from grandparents down.
The 2nd one has more energy. If you're a big dancer or partier and hoping to meet some girl who's also along those lines, that's who you're most likely to impress. It definitely not bad, but the older people will think "kids today" and shake their heads a bit. Not bad enough to not like you, but they won't think "what a nice young man," right off the bat.
I'm assuming no tie for #2. You can always wear one for the wedding itself and ditch it in the car, on the way over.
The only concern is the French blue color. In the States, that was the color to wear for a few years, but now it's not. Again, not bad, but not really the current hot shirt in my area. Every state and country is different, though.
However, it also looks like it might be really shiny. Is that why the collar looks darker? If so, that's a different story. Shiny can be good.
You got all that from those pics Roland. All I got was 'they'd both do the job nicely'

First up, I must apologize for the bad pics. I shall get better ones soon. I am fair skinned for an Indian and both colors seem to go well with me. I will wear a tie with the blue shirt and don't plan to ditch the vest, as I think it would go well. Yes, it is a little darker, and just a tad shiny.
I think I shall get new ties, and feel that I will get stripes that are strong for the purplish pink shirt.
I also have another option for the blue shirt, which is a different shade of the blue, yet close to the current one. It has a white collar with white cuffs.
Any more ideas ?
Ash

Just checking, if the shirt is light, then the tie should have dark accents or be darker right? Does that mean the dark blue shirt must have a light blue tie as well?

Well, I payed 2 weeks of saved up pocket money for the vest, so ill be wearing it even in the shower! Plus, It seems to be a trend in the fashion mags too.

goldwave - we don't really have the wite vest in current men's fashion here in the US (that I know of) so I am having a hard time relating/picturing "the look" - it must be current fashion in your region if you are so attached - I just can't picture it -
Do you have any links of men in fashion or clubs with this look/using a white vest like this in your country or close so we can get an idea of the "the look" you are going for?
i'm also in favor of ditching the white vest. Those only go if it's a white tie event, and wearing a white suit or a white tie tux - you're wearing neither. I love three-piece suits, and I love vests, but the white just looks tacky when its not part of a white suit.
That said, you're over-thinking this. The wedding is a time for the bride and groom to shine. Make sure you're not going to wear anything that outshines them. Wear a suit, throw on a shirt and then go with or without a tie. Ties if that's your thing, no tie if you're going for more of the laid back cool guy thing. I'm a big fan of pocket squares, myself, sans tie. But I only do white, and only cotton (not that shiny silk shit). If someone's got tears in their eyes (or a bloody nose, depending on how the wedding goes), i want to be able to hand them something they can actually use. I also only go with a straight, square shaped square. None of the poofy p-diddy shit.
Note the gentleman on the left...
Good luck, and remember, polish your shoes!
