Default Keifer Sutherland Reports to Jail

Kiefer Sutherland Goes to Jail - Crime & Courts, : People.com

I wonder if they will let him out after 2 hours like they did Nicole Ricci or Paris Hilton.

EDIT: Oops... aparently they won't...

Quote:
"Sutherland will be serving the 48 days in the Glendale City Jail, with no early release and no good time/work time credit, so we expect that he will serve the entire 48 days in jail," the statement said.
Guess he'd have better luck if instead of filming 24, he spent more time flashing his coochie to paparazi.

At least he didn't have a hissy fit about it, they oughta give him some points just for manning up and taking his medicine. That's not SOP in LaLa Land anymore.

Nah... This was a rogue mission. He's on his own. The breakout might take 3 hours.

Isn't this his 4th conviction? How many days in jail would a non-celebrity get with 4 DUI convictions?

Kiefer Sutherland Busted for DUI in Hollywood - Kiefer Sutherland : People.com

"In 1989, he was arrested for DUI and carrying a concealed and loaded weapon. In a deal with prosecutors, he pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving, and the other charges were dropped.

In 1993, he was arrested for DUI, and again, pleaded out the same way. He was given the option of serving 12 days in jail or performing 211 hours of community service, and opted for the latter.

Because the actor was previously convicted of DUI in 2004, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of four days in jail if convicted for this latest arrest."

Baur did a year in a half in a chinese prison, 48 days with 3 squares a day ain't nothing. something is wrong with the system. It jails Lindsay Lohan, Wynna Rider, Paris Hilton, and Martha Stewart, but not DMX or Snoop or someone that is probably packing heat while getting the mail. Although I DO believe Britney should be jailed for showing her hot pocket. That's a capital offense right there.

Its so easy to be amazed and impressed when celebrities actually take their medicine (even if it is only a small dose) that we forget that they are still getting a slap on the wrist compared to what a regular joe would be given.

Speaking of celebrities Mike Vick is getting 23 months in a min. security prison that from the sounds of it is pretty posh for a prison.
