I watched the first one, and recorded the other two. I'm not sure if it's worth watching.
It's an interesting concept and I like the characters, but the special effects are cheesy. The animals/monsters, are like poorly done computer game animals.
I like Zoey Dashawhatserhame, but the sorta innocent, wide-eyed-wonder thing isn't really her thing. She's got the wide-eyed thing down, but I'm used to seeing it when she's playing a character who's a serial condescender or ne'er-do-well. Bad casting, and not just with her.
As to the whole SIX HOUR mini-series. Please. Too much detail when we really don't care. Unless it really picks up and gets good, I'm thinking three or four hours would have done the job.
I thought it was pretty bad, especially the writing. I watched the first one and have the next on the TiVo, but I'm not sure I'll even watch the rest of it. They built it up so much; I was very disappointed.
It got better as it went on. if your stuck in the house with nothing else to do, then i'd say to watch it. I wasn't all that impressed with the any of the characters, and the story line seemed off the beaten path. It is only connected with the original wizard of oz by the characters.

And barely, there. I like that there's no actual scarecrow and tin woodsman, but that leaves the sorta-lion guy looking a bit out of place (I know he's not really a lion).
I know that, these days, that the line between tv and movie actors is not so broad, but something about the casting just bugs me. Zoey Deschanel vs. Kathleen Robertson (that chick from Beverly Hills 90210) just doesn't work for me.
