Default Is Jerry springer real?

I just watched a highlight (in horror) of Jerry Springer and man....was I speechless. We do not have it in Malaysia but whats up with that show? Goodness....It surely does give America a bad name.

Listen, if you really think that Jerry Springer or his guests are representative of the United States I'd like to talk to you.

Ofcourse I do NOT think all Americans are like that! Common! I am currently doing a degree that follows the American education system so yea, I am quiet sure what America and Americans in general are about. Plus, if I wanted to know about America even more, i would just watch CNN....kidding!

The point I was trying to make was that there are uninformed people out there who have a very negative impression of America and that shows like these won't help one bit.

Tell them to watch "Flavor of Love" then.

Otherwise we'll bomb'em.

Umm, no! But last time I was at the local Wal-Mart the cross section of shoppers looked like it may represent the population of some place south of the border with all the migrant workers in the area.

In the summer the parking lots look like trailer courts, it is like an entire subculture of subhumans.

Ha that is so true here. I am surprised you made it in the door - last time I tried to go to Wal-Mart I couldn't make it through the parking lot with all of the damn carts laying around everywhere.

I would say that Springer represents a part of our population, not that it is all staged and fake. I like to think it is a small part of population.

Ive always wondered this, what time does jerry springer/muary/these type of shows actually play at?

Are they like primetime, or latenight? or morning? here they are always playing at like 3-4 in the morning so i dont think anyone sees them that often. Maybe you have alot of people in the USA up late.

Had a young lady walk into the break room in one of our business offices. (there is a t.v. in there for som reason) She was complaining abou how stressful her day had been and how glad she was that it was lunch time..she needed to "unwind"

Sat down and..yes..she turned on Springer to "relax"

OMG

Springer, Wrestling..all the same kind of thing.

The audience is pretty scary because they eat that stuff up.

like someone else said, i think it used to air at like 3-4pm. Now, it's picked up on public access shows like UPN, and is aired at like 1AM now. The popularity for it has pretty much died.

Fake or not, Jerry Springer is good entertainment. I've always enjoyed watching it.

'Jerry Springer' - 'representative'. He was elected and served as mayor of Cincinnati so, in some ways, he IS representative.

Taking this thread on a more serious turn, oddly enough, I wonder how many of us here in America have notions of the rest of the world based upon the clips we see on our nightly news.
