Default Aussie's interested in a seminar.

Hey all,

Jumped onto Ian Kings website the other day and saw an ad for some seminars he's doing in melbourne, sydney, Lismore in November. Not sure of the cost as you have to email to get information I think. If interested check it out.

Lets use this thread to advise fellow Aussies of any fitness related summits or seminars, so we can get our fix since we can't attend JP's summit each year.

Anyone interested?

As long as it doesn't cost me much money!

But it's gonna be a thread for three people only I think haha.

Just found this awesome site to purchase gym equipment off
http://www.cyber-market.com.au/index.php

Awesome stuff and great prices

Josh's Fantasy gym

-dumbell set 5-40kg with rack
(5,7.5,10,12.5,15,20,25,30,35, 40kg pairs) $1350
-7 foot olympic bar (700lb rated) $95
-power rack with dipping bars (+chin bar) $395
-olympic weight set & bar + 190kg $445
-bench flat/incline adjustable $225
-cable row machine $695
- lat pull down machine $795

Grand total $4000

Wouldn't get it all at once but with all this would never have to venture into a crap gym EVER AGAIN.

Anyway just a great site if any Aussie's are ever looking for equipment.

How much do you guys pay for gym memberships?

I get $220 at the uni gym but that isn't a great facility.
Enquired about a gym right near my place but they had $450 for students and that was half price.
Saw an ad on TV while watching bathurst 1000 today and it was an opening special of $700.

I'm moving next year so will be looking for a new place to workout. Thinking at these costs might be cheaper to buy some stuff for home then pay for 2 year long gym memberships (my fiance and me train together).

Would just get the rack, olympic bar and weights, and a bench and should be right to start.

I train at home now - Bench(with shitty rack), barbell, dumbbells, power tower. Its pretty good, except my bar is rated to like 275lbs, and I only have 330lbs plates.

I'm moving out next year(hopefully going to uni), and selling all my equipment, so also need a place to workout.

Man, gym memberships sounds ridiculously expensive.... Hopefully I'll be studying and have access to a uni gym.
