Default Tammy Faye Messner: RIP

Just caught it on CNN: Tammy Faye, formerly Baker, is gone. I didn't even know she was suffering from cancer until a few days ago.

I'm not a huge fan of reality TV, but last week, I caught a few eps of past "Surreal Life" episodes and she was there. She grew on me. Quite the quirky gal and I liked that about her. Must have also been a fighter as she was able to overcome the whole James Baker crappola quite well.

RIP, Tammy.

I was not a fan of any of the "media" evangelists, but one distinguishing feature of Jim and Tammy so far as I know, is that they were never hate oriented in any of their programs. I also read, I think in Rolling Stone, an interview with their son. He was involved in an alternate culture ministry, and seemed to be an all around nice guy. Tammy seemed to make friends with about everyone involved with her. And while operating at a higher emotional lever than most of us, was plucky to boot.

I saw excerpts of the interview with her on CNN a few days ago. I was very sad to see how she looked and how much pain she was in. I'm glad that she is at peace and with God now.
