OK, so it's been ages since I've posted anything or checked out the board (and I'm developing the gut to prove it too).
Anyway - I started a new job a few days ago, and the company has an on-site gym run by Plus One Fitness. If anyone remembers a guy who would post here by the name of Silas Chen (i think his handle was 'fitone'), he was a trainer with them. In a few of his posts he talked about his treatment (I think he had cancer).
So I asked the trainer giving me my fitness assessment if he knew Silas. He said he did know him and that he passed away a couple of years ago. He was a young guy, in his 20s I think (although I'm not sure - I've never met him in person).
If anyone does remember him, I thought you might want to know this.
Sorry for the sad news, and I hope all's well with everyone out there.
Very sorry to hear that. I remember him from MH, I think he was in NYC.

Oh my god... I had no idea Silas died! Thanks for the update, Vin.
BTW, it is really good to see your name pop up in this forum. I really miss your insightful posts. How are you? What's your new job? You still in finance or have you sprung into the fitness world yet? Last I remember you were studying for the CSCS.
someone disappears from the internet so you figured he had died?
you're bright and cheery!
Well, we knew that he had cancer, and I seem to recall that he mentioned it had been progressing at the time that he stopped posting. It was, unfortunately, the most logical conclusion available.
