It's not enough that Faith Hill is a beautiful woman... Photoshopping the hell out of her photos will make women across the US feel like they will never look good enough based on the cover of this magazine:
BTW... She's not the first woman this happened to. I know kate winslet took GQ to task for fixing her curve and making her appear more leggy than she is.

Her shoulder ends up shifting upward visually, and the near erasure of the crease of her elbow is lowered a bit. Then the lighter skin-tone area that would signify the inner elbow is also shifted down a bit. All of which seem to lengthen the arm a smidge, and then the thinning doesn't help. shudder.
We have an airbrush magazine with a painting on the cover. She looks real, but she's not... she's a complete creation from scratch with an airbrush. Otto and I agreed at the time that one of the reasons she looks so real is because of all the retouching that goes on in the industry. This painting looks more real than the photochopped images on most magazines of real people these days. sigh
One of my client's hubby does this sort of work for modeling agencies/photo agencies. He gets the pictures then "cleans them up". I had a link to a guy out of NY who did this "for stars". Man...some of the before shots were scary, maybe because they knew they were getting brushed. Faith is pretty as she is, no need for the shoppin'.
What's sad is some girl will see this then will judge herself. Some of the kids at my daughter's old school - at 7 and 8 - were already like this. One kid was natually pretty - nice smile, etc - and she thought she was ugly. My daughter had a few bouts of that after they picked on her from being "too skinny" (er, when mom is 5'1" and barely hits the 100# mark it's not hard to figure where she got that from).
Geez. She looks quite attractive in the original photo, I think. Too bad reality just isn't good enough for anyone these days.
Aoife, you're right about that arm. It looks freakish when they take out the natural widening at the elbow joint and make it look like a long, perfect cyllinder.

Don't really know who she is but she looks far better before they did the touch up job.

Well, the guy started from a picture of a lean chick, fattened it and he either played it backwards or did the steps backwards. I can't recall the name of the chick exactly but it would be pretty easy to find. It's something FEY.
