Default Cell phone service in Boston area?

I'm leaving for Boston in a couple weeks for my internship and have gotten an old blackberry unlocked to use while i'm there. I'm thinking of going with T-Mobile for service....can I get on a plan without a contract or would it be better to go with pay as you go...anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Well, you could do prepaid t-mobile, not the best connection but you got the walkie-talkie (It's called "Bleep - Bleep" around Boston), plus you won't be locked into a plan. I suggest Prepaid unless you are a serious talker. I think you have more control with prepaid, and you don't have to worry about running up a bill.

The Walkie-talkie service is 99 cents a day, but you got unlimited "bleeps".

Personally, I use a Verizon prepaid, free weekends. I believe the Cingular prepaids have free nights after 9pm, and weekends.

Verizon, has the best connection around Boston/surrounding area.

Good luck.

I live about 45 minutes away from Boston, Cape Cod.
