Well, Baton Rouge is about 2 hours away, so that's not too bad. I'll be sure to have enough fun for you too!!

Hey Lt., gotta a non-sequitor question for you regarding the pronounciation of your last name. When JP was here, he pronounced it 'HE- BERT', the way it is spelled. I told him that everyone I ever met from Lousiana with that last name pronounced it 'AY - BARE' - and I've met more than a handful with that last name from that region (must be a common name down there).

How is it pronounced in your case? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Kaiser (pronounced like Soze, Wilhelm, and roll)

PS: I gotta song here from Maynard from tool - a duet with ..... Tori Amos ?!? Crazy.

There's a restaurant around here called Baton Rouge. What does that mean?

Yes, Baton Rouge translates to "red stick". French, of course.

You're exactly right, it's a-bear. VERY common name here, like my maiden name, Adams, is very common in Illinois where I'm from. When I was stationed at Fort Sill, where I met my husband, they pronounce it he-bert. But they don't have the French heritage there, I guess that's the difference.

I've heard that duet with Maynard and Tori. I didn't care for it. I like hearing them separately much better.

For anyone who is wondering, the Tool show was AWESOME!!!! Possibly the best I've ever seen them, and I've seen them 4 or 5 times I think. I only missed them once, when I was pregnant. And I was actually sober!! (no pun intended!) :p

Good God, I would hope you were sober when you were pregnant!

Thanks for the 'splanation on the name. JP should know better, being a franco-descendent and all. Yeah, the duet was pretty lame, but then Tori Amos is hit or miss with me on her songs anyway. Tool, on the other hand, is great music to hit the slopes to.

They just posted up a gig in July in New Jersey not too far from me. I'm going to try to make that one.

Glad you saw a good show. They are a great band.
