-well its taken me nearly 1000 days to clock up 1000 posts- its about quality not quantity (for all you post whores)
-Since my first post I've learnt many things I never thought I would have, changed career from music teacher to almost finished an exercise science degree
-being introduced to great authors/ trainers including but not limited too, JP, Craig B, Bill Hartman, John Berardi, Chad Waterbury, Alwyn Cosgove, Lou, Cressey, Jason F, Dos, Dan John and those that i've forgotten. Learn't lots from these guys even if I don't follow their philosophy its helped me shape my own.
-been introduced to www.t-nation.com lots of good articles and some crap. Gotta learn how to pick the good from the bad
-I've learnt to focus on the similarities in programs and not the differences
-NROL helped me in lots of ways with both my degree and views on training. Functional exercises forever.
-One thing I picked up from dan john about having people in group training perform exercises for time rather then reps made training groups much easier. Have actually ran bodyweight circuits for 110 high school girls.
-I've learned that low carb may be the way to go for lots of people but it doesn't do anything for me. As good as something may be if a person isn't going to do it then its not neccessarily right for them.
-I'm destined to be poor forever. When I start earning money the rest of those training manuals that I've been drooling over will be bought. But for now its settling for the few MUST haves. Ie Muscle Revolution, New rules of lifting, and recently Lift Strong.
-Many thanks to those that have helped me over the last few years indirectly or directly and thanks to those experts for posting quality which has allowed me to learn invaluable lessons.

There are three things in my life which I really love: God, my family, and baseball. The only problem - once baseball season starts, I change the order around a bit. ~Al Gallagher, 1971

Have you got any local friends who are equally as passionate? Start a little library and take turns buying the books.
Congrats on the 1000, Josh. Good to have you around these parts. Your posts are always thoughtful and informative.
