Default Rulon Gardner is one tough mofo!

Rulon is the USA heavyweight wrestler that beat the Russian wrestler that was considered to be the greatest olympic athlete of all time. The guy hadn't lost in 13 years.

After winning gold:

2002 Rulon has snowmobile accident and is caught in extreme conditions. Survives but loses toe to frostbite...

2004 Rulon is riding motorcycle and gets hit by a car. Survives

NOW THIS....

He's like Bruce Willis in that movie Unbreakable. Awesome.

Do you think you get to a point to where that sort of stuff isn't a big deal any more? The plane is going down everyone is all flipping out and shit and you're sitting there thinking "shit...I just opened my beer *chug, chug, chug SPLASH*. woooo...that was a close one. *swim, swim, swim*"

Yes, I believe that people who have already looked death in the face, and walked away with another chance, are not as likely to freak out if it happens again. The mind and body remember crises very well and there's something to be said for experience in those situations.

I picture an EMT like Jenn to be pretty impressive at times like that.

However he is surviving these things, I don't think I'd like to hang out with him. It's a self preservation thing.

I'll add that in 2004 Rulon in his first and only MMA fight fought and beat an Olympic Judo Gold Medalist in Japan.

I think he should stay away from anything involving engines and stick to safer hobbies, such as slugging it out in a ring.

this is exactly what I'm thinking. I do not want to be in a transportation vehicle with him. You are almost guaranteed a mishap.

I was thinking just how many people would get off of a commercial jet if he walked in and sat down.
