If so, what kind did you get? The kind that plugs into the back of the radio and costs ~ $150ish or did you get the cassett adaptor?
Where and how much did yours cost?
Mine is a mini radio transmitter. You plug it into the cigar lighter for power and then sync the transmitter to the car radio and just listen. $79.99 at Circut City.

Hmmm.. ok.... I don't really want to spend the $150ish for the adaptor that plugs in the back of the radio.
I see the cassette ones at Thenerds.net for about $11 bucks. But I'm worried that you get what you pay for. This would be the most economical way to go since I'd need one for me and one for Monica.
It sounds like a tape. if you're not worried about high end sound quality, they work. I've had problems a couple of times with the tape not being read by the cassette player, but otherwise.... it sounds like a tape.

i had a griffin iTrip (the one that attaches to your ipod and picks up a "dead" signal on the radio - the only issue is that there aren't any truly dead signals in radio), i also killed two itrips. The first one I left in the car in the summer and it fried, the second one i left in the car in the winter and it froze. SO, needless to say you need to bring them into the house with you. I really need to get another of some sort cause of all of the traveling I'm doing (i hate finding a station i like in a random city).
I've got the radio transmitter adapter, also. I bought mine at RadioShack, about $50. Runs the IPod battery down a bit faster since the volume needs to be higher than normal to be heard, in my car anyway.

That might be what I need to look into then. Thanks.
I have the radio transmitter only because my new car doesn't have a tape player. But for over a year before that I used a cassette adapter with absolutely no problems. I think it's really a cheap and effective way to go if you have a tape player.
On the other hand one good thing about the FM transmitter (got a Belkin one for $49) is that it also charges my iPod while I'm using it. But I still liked the cassette adapter.

These are the cheapest I've found by FAR. I bought from ledshoppe and everything was nice. Haven't got any of those FM transmitters yet but I'm going to buy one soon. At that price, even if it breaks, it won't really matter. It's gonna cost 6 times that price otherwise so I'm willing to give it a try.

I got the cassete type from wal-mart for 10 bucks. Works great.

There's a website that has the back car hookups for like $50 each. You could probably install it yourself. My car has an Aux jack, so I use that plus a Belkin car charger ($22). Works great, and has CD quality sound.

Don't suppose you remember what site it is do you brother? All the ones I looked at had them for around $150 or so! That's a bit steep, but I could handle $50.
The wife has a cassette player in her car so that would work, but I just realized this morning that I only have a cd player and a power outlet/jack.
Okay. I ended up getting the FM radio transmitter one. Actually I got two, one for each vehicle. I tried them out tonight. Didn't think they were working when I programmed in the first few "dead" channels, but I kept skipping around and actually found one that was barely streaming something, turned the iPod on and Kaboom! It works like a champ. Nice!
