Default Damn, these iPods are wicked cool!

Got Monica a 30g video 'Pod yesterday and loaded a bunch of her cd's on it yesterday. Liked it so much, I went and bought one for myself today.

I've yet to load any movies on it, but that and being able to load any t.v. shows I missed is wicked cool! I can load Lost and Heros on it and watch them on my lunch hour. Wow. Just wicked cool.

I'm currently loading up a bunch of my cd's on it now so I'm surfing around while I'm doing so.

After I got mine I stopped listening to radio. I've got about 5 different podcast that get me through the daily commute.

Mine is just a nano but even without the movie option these things are killer. I've only had it a few months but it already blows away every other mp3 player I've ever had.
I agree with Deserve, the podcasts are really my favorite thing. Along with a bunch of audio books I swear I 'just found lying around the internet' I actually only find myself playing actual music during my workouts.

Got any good sites to check out free (or at least cheap) podcasts or audio books?

Almost all the podcast are free and can be subscribed through I-tunes. There is a podcast for any interest you think you have.

I doubt you'll find any of my favorites interesting but it illustrates my point.

Harvard Business Review - Author interviews
Grammar Girl - Grammar Tips
AP Baseball - Associated Press Baseball Writers talk baseball
Coffee Break Spanish - Spanish Lessons
Max Out Radio - Mike Roussells Fitness Show
Keith and the Girl - Random irreverent funny show. Think morning drive time without the censor.

The Spanish one is cool because it even has flashcards that works on the Ipod. I've never found any audio books

I've found audio books to be freaky expensive.

BUT!

The public library up here loans them out.

And you can get them for free if you know where to look

Well yeah the audiobooks are never technically free, but I have an internet connection and live in a country with spotty copyright laws- so they're not that tough to find.
as far as good podcasts go I like Scientific American's weekly podcast, as well as the Fitcast and Maxout but I'd say The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe is my current favorite. A bit of a niche but if you are a little wary on some alternative health practices and paranormal phenomina its a great place to hear them scientifically debunked.

The FitCast isn't free is it? From what I saw you subscribe for something like $80 a year? Is that right?

The podcast is free. The Fitcast Insider is the subscription service.
