Lundgren is definitely the worst actor in the list. He usually got into a movie where beefcake was the principal requirement.

Yeah, I'd go with Lundgren. Though it's a sad list. Hartnett's a pretty boy; Reeves is incredibly wooden in every performance he gives. How could Cage ever be the "best". Guess you've accomplished the impossible, Alc.

Nick Cage has one emotion in each of his movies: stupid disbelief. Seriously. Look at his face. No, wait--just picture it in your mind. Mouth half open, long distance stare, thinking about discounts at Wal-mart and failing miserably at calculating 50% off...

I voted Dulph...because...well...he can't act...at all.

Of the list though Reeves is the one I despise most of all. He just demands to be bitch slapped. For whatever reason he just really strikes me as being one of the least masculine, whiny, little cunt of a man on the face of gods green earth.

I like Dolph. It was just that period of action movies that came out. Jean Claude, Dolph, Seagal, Norris, Brandon Lee, etc. I can't stand Cage and won't watch any of his movies. Bill and Ted's was a good movie though, probably Reeve's best.

Remeber the poll dosen't ask who is the worst actor, it asks who sucks harder.

Dolph I highly doubt considers himself to be a serious actor like say De Niro type serious. Cage more than likely does.

Og.

Acting career? Dolph Lungren hasn't been in a movie for decades. And not one of those could be called a good flick.

Cage was great in Adaptation.

Keanu, well... he fit the role perfectly in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. He was laughable in Much Ado About Nothing -- he kept sounding like he'd add "dude" to the end of every one of Shakespeare's sentences.

We'll see where Hartnett is in 10-15 years.

I"m surprised Jean-Claude Van Damme isn't on that list, but I think it's a list of movie superheros.

If this guy were considered an actor he'd take tha cake

Buuut, since he's clearly not then I'll back Fish's opinion all the way.

Nick Cage would need a personality transplant to express a different emotion.

Lundgren has an IQ in the 150's, speaks several languages, has a Masters in Chemical engineering, has won the Kyukushanku knockdowns twice and was a marine. When involved with the US pentathlon team (making a movie) he was able to hold his own with them in all the disciplines, they made him an honourary member.

What? You want him to be able to act too!?!?!?

If that is what he is paid for, I'd say, yes. If he could make as much money (sad to say) in any of those other disciplines, he wouldn't have to turn to acting.

Might just be something he gets a kick out of and has the opporunity to do because of his size.

If he was so incredibly bad in his roles he would have only made one movie. But he didn't the powers that be obviously thought his screen presence was enough to compensate for his lack of verbal acting skills.

Just my 2 cents.

Some movies don't require good actors. The target audience doesn't care.

The key to being successful in those movies is to not take yourself seriously. If you hit the balance, you might take off. I think Arnold did that perfectly. He got quite a bit better, later on. But still never took himself seriously.

Arnold, Jackie Chan, Jim Belushi, Steve Martin, The Rock, etc.

Yep I guess it all depends who's holding the bar.

Maybe Dolph thinks he hada great acting career! Lots of people might say he did based on achieving as much or more in that career as he could have expected.

Compared to say cage who was in wickerman.

Og.

Bruce has the best one-liners.
See if you can get "The man with the screaming brain", he directed it (my husband gets killed for the opening scene).

LostDog hit it on the head. Great acting =/= big movies.

Of that list I'd say Cage bugs me the most for the reasons Fish described nicely. Hartnett I don't really care about either way. But no, he's not a good actor.

Lundgren isn't a great acto but he doesn't try to act like he is either. I've always liked him even though his movies usually suck.

A lot of people don't like Reeves and he's not a great actor but I like him alright because he plays roles in some cool movies: Point Break, The Devlis Advocate, Johnny Mnemonic, the Matrix, Constantine. Of course he was also in Speed so I guess that all equals out. lol

And I would so have Ralph Machio at the top of that list.
Really, the best actors are rarely the biggest stars.

Well...I did like him in "8mm" and "Wild At Heart." However, that's probably the only movies I thought he did well.

Dolph was in "Master of the Universe", which happens to be one of my favorite movies ever. I like a Cage movie every once in a while, for example "Matchstick Men". Keanu has had a few good flicks as well, not the least of which is "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey." And I liked Josh Harnett in "40 Days"

On just acting talent alone these guys may not be award winning. But some times having a decent movie that can amuse me for an hour an half is all I need. I don't see movies as some great artistic movement. I just enjoy them.
