I'm sitting in Pittsburgh International Airport and I can't help but think this is my favorite airport (outside of my hometown Greenville-Spartanburg Airport). I travel a lot for my job and I can't believe how nice it is. For those of you unfamiliar with PIT, it's like a high-end shopping mall with planes in the parking lot. The shops and restaurants are fantastic. The weather isn't usually a problem. And I'm writing this using free wireless internet.
Anyway, I'm obviously a bit bored and wondered if there are any other frequent flyers out there with opinions on such matters.

Gatwick...more book shops and cheaper electronics.
Plus you always meet someone you haven't seen in 10 years!!!

Top Five
1. Tokyo/Narita
2. Honolulu
3. Nice (France)
4. Minneapolis
5. Paris
Seoul SK is terrible (thought the city is great) and down in last place is the god aweful Chicago O'Hare nightmare.
btw LD, try to stay out of holding cells at LAX. No Playstation and the INS people are not gentle.

I do love Honolulu. No windows. Nice breeze blowing through.
I don't like Minneapolis. The NWA World Club is top notch but the regional jets are too far from the main terminal. I once missed a connection to Des Moines because of that "death march." Other than that, the main terminal is nice.
I agree that O'Hare sucks but I would rate DFW and Houston lower.
Oh, I like Tampa/St. Pete!

I like Kansas City. Three different terminals, and you can get outside in 20 steps. Problem is, if you want to go shopping or go eat, you have to leave security.

Definitely Narita - a very close second is Portland International Airport. Or for us local peeps, PDX. It's awesome - plenty of places to wander about near your gate to window shop or sit at a bar for some tasty microbrew.
And I second the awfulness that is O'Hare. Hate that place. Yuk.
I like the international terminal in Detroit because of there's a Brooks Brothers that I can check out between flights :p
International terminal at Pearson Airport in Toronto blows. US and Canadian customs are both extremely unpredictable in terms of waiting time, and the baggage carousels can be a mob scene.
Detroit has got that awesome train that my daughter and I rode back and forth for 2 hours once. I was partial to the airport in Huntsville, Alabama because I liked a girl that worked at the bar and would get ffree drinks. I've been to many and really they all kind of seem the same. Though, I do remember DFW and Atlanta being huge.
Kimpo in Seoul was amazing, if only for the fact it was the first time I had ever been immersed in a foreign country. I walked around in wonder for like an hour. A year later, the night I left Korea, the airport was the greatest place because being there meant I was finally going home.
Nice of you to toss in Minneapolis to make us feel better about our insignificant little lives...
Hey don't get mad cuz you never get out from behind the Orange Veil:p
I'll throw Little Rock on the list if they get rid of all the chain smokers. Better?

The one I am not at:p
On a serious note, George Town's airport in Grand Cayman, for the architecture and the outside restaurant.
Least favorite one: our own Sofia airport.
tampa st. pete is decent except you are FORCED to wait for the train, there's no option to walk and sometimes i'm so excited to get away from the screaming baby that was on the plane that i'd gladly walk to the baggage claim, but nope! the kid's going to follow us onto the train too!
i love laguardia but i think it's cause of the memories that surround it, not the airport itself. white plains is awesome, tiny little airport and you never have to wait long for anything. you also get to take the stairs down from the plane and feel like the beatles.
i'm sure i'll have a better feel for the airports and what truly is a decent airport after i have to fly them for business. right now i just like the airports cause of the memories associated with them. (charlotte douglas sucks btw, but that's just cause i was there a few hours ago and they wouldn't let me park in the hourly lot until i pitched a fit.)
Patricia, I assume you are joking.... Narita is a jungle, over crowded and understaffed with a 90min + commute to daowntown, does not handle many domestic flights, so a 60min+ shuttle to another airport. ( I would say Kuala Lumpur International Airport: great shopping and food, or ONLY for airport Kansai, but for access and convenience it is like Narita, terrible) Minn (NW hub)is also good for shopping, but crowded.
Worst: Pearson Int, Narita, Manila, Heathrow

I lived 30 minutes via a convenient train ride from Narita and also knew some of the counter girls there so sometimes they hooked me up with an exit row seat. It's hardly a jungle though.

AND it's easy to maneuver through, has terrific little restaurants and shops. The last time we were there (January), Narita had a display up showing it about to use some renewable energy (solar, I believe) - that's pretty impressive.
We've never had a problem to get there or to go from there to someplace else via train or bus.
I don't fly much anymore, but when I did, I always hated flying through DFW. It always seemed like we landed in Oklahoma and had to taxi in to Dallas. I also hate O'Hare like everyone else. LOL.
I remember thinking the Orlando airport was pretty nice. I remember the cool train in Detroit, too!
Here's an odd one. When we lived in North Carolina, I always liked the Greensboro-Winston Salem airport a lot.... because you could park right in front of the terminal! The best airports are the ones you can get in and out of the fastest.
Miami. Cuban coffee at $0.47 per shot! Boy do I get wired before the flight!

LMAO, Narita is in the sticks and if you live near Narita well....
Hey when you got a sweet bike like mine you need some space to ride!

Well in late January, Ko and I get to "rate" Denver and Cancun.
I'll remember to have my rating sheets ready to go....
I know he's said Houston sucks. And I remember as a kid hating San Francisco, but this last summer, I found that that former armpit has actually improved. I'd also add to "eh, okay" to San Diego as everytime I've been there, it always seems to be under construction. And that one is difficult to maneuver through.
