Pretty cool, Og. I was thinking about buying a starter set for my mom then opted for something else. What brand are these?

Nice.

I was thinking the same thing Rob was. Where are all the little Mongol figurines sacking and pillaging?

The mongols didn't make it that far west. The little villiage is safe.

I'd better build a big wall around mine this year ... nah, that won't work, those Mongols are nasty.

I don't think you can really call it a village unless it's the only house left.

Aren't the village elders a bit concerned about living below sea level? What with all the global warming going on...

My mother has something like this. It's very cool when she's got it set up and lit for Christmas.

More like at sea level, not quite below it, and the tide is in right now.

Would be cool to build a little stand for the village and put the ocean a little below it though.....

I already think it needs something hollow underneath to run electricity through....

Og.

Wouldn't a single house be considered a rural postal zone and not a village?

Og,
I made a platform for mine as it began to grow and everthing is wired from beneath. I'll post a pic if I can find last year's. I have not taken any this year, yet.

I hear that, I am surprised how much space mine takes up with only 11 or so buildings.

You miss the point.
There is something god-like in "creating" a village. LOL
