Well, this is a new one for me. I have not felt like this in years. I got up and worked out this morining. It went pretty well. I was feeling just a bit of an upset in my stomach. I had breakfast and headed to work, still feeling the same. Got to work and so far have thrown up twice in my waste can and had the big "D" in the bathroom. Must be a virus going around. I hate this feeling.

"I don't mind at all," I said. "It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like so long as somebody loves you."
Me and my two-year-old son spent Sunday-before-last up puking all night. I had the big D for a couple days after and he had the big D for almost a week after. Then once I got over it, my wife got it but only for a day or so. Both she and my son got the flu shot and that seems to have shortened the duration.
I missed my opportunity to get one a few weeks ago and I think that made this worse. I don't think I've ever been this sick at least in recent memory.
My advice, take it very easy for a time and drink lots and lots of fluids - NO FRUIT JUICE!! Water, clear soda, maybe some Gatorade here and there. Dehydration is the key and generally the main thing Dr's are concerned with. Othewise, this too shall pass.
Good luck! Get Well Soon!

sip your liquids SLOWLY! i just got over this and any time i drank too much water i'd be back to the toilet for a really sweet hug. oh! and once you have stopped throwing up for a few hours take some tylenols cause inevetiably you'll get the wonderful fever spike (my eye balls were burning so bad and i couldn't get out of bed for the tylenol, thank goodness my mom came to check on me). the only thing i could keep down (HOURS after the last bathroom run) was plain white rice and some plain toast. feel better soon!
You probably picked it up from someone at the office, so the best course is to stay at work and pass it along to the next victim.

Sorry to hear that John. Hope it's short-lived. And I'm assuming you're going home and not staying at the office. You do NOT want to inflict these germs on your co-workers!

With your talent, you'll probably turn this experience into some nugget of wisdom for next week's MMMM.
Hope you're better soon, John!

Explanation, please. It sounds like there's a good story in there somewhere.
I'll gladly explain, because that's more procrastinating about studying.
I was about 250 when I was 17. (and an inch shorter). I got sick, lost twelve pounds in five days because I had absolutely no appetite and was throwing up and freezing cold, decided that I enjoyed being the 12 pounds lighter--I had been "working out" before then, but it was all isolation crap--and by the summer was over I was 188. But it was a fat 188, and I'm a taller and slimmer--still fat--210 right now.
