My wife's out at a company dinner. I will either be painting or doing Christmas baking. Either (both?) will involve alcohol.

If it's sherry, you might as well put on a frilly apron, too.

My daughter is over, I just finalized next semester's schedule, I'm coming down with a cold, we just put up our Christmas tree, I'm about to open a Sam Adams, and I'm doing laundry. In a while, after the kiddo goes to bed, I'll do some work on a research paper for my ethics class. Party on!

My husband is working, the boys are watching Cars. I'm trying to straighten up the house, as we are having a birthday party for the boys on Sunday (they will be 4). I have to work tomorrow, so I want to get as much done as possible tonight. So, not too much excitement in my life!!

I'm waiting for the bathroom to be free so I can have a shower and get into my pj's. Now that is exciting. Not!

You should wait until Monday. Not a lot of responses over the weekend.

Just building some cusrtom LEGO creations. Wife is still at work, maybe at the gym by now, but will be building along side me when she gets home. I got her an awesome LEGO holiday train that she is going to put together and hopefully tomorrow we will get a tree for it to orbit.

Building Lego sets with your wife, eh? Sounds fun. It's cool that you married a girl who isn't stupid (they're a rare breed and are probably just flukes) and can appreciate such things.

I just got home from the gym and came here to log my workout.

When my wife gets home (which should be soon) we will be putting up our Christmas tree. After that maybe i'll sign back in and bring back the "Show us your Christmas tree" thread, which has fallen all the way back to page 4.

Killing off time until an 11pm roller hockey game. Should be a good game, we're both undefeated for the season. Such a late game, though

Just writing an essay on the oppressive nature of industrialization on individual agency in The Grapes of Wrath and A Passage to India using a Marxian interpretation. It's gonna be a pretty sweet essay, I should post it up when I'm finished.

Writing a summary and two essays for my writing skills class. Studying for physiology and anatomy. Avoiding all of that by playing games on ebaumsworld, and watching Dexter when it comes on at 10.

Maybe you guys can help me with one of those essays. I'm suppose to discuss reasons why cosmetic surgery has become so valued and/or accepted. My brain must be fried, because all I can think of is the media exposing every celebrity that gets plastic surgery, and showing how beautiful/handsom they look now = accepted. Any ideas?

I'm carbo-loading, and the whole family is watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I'm on pins and needles wondering whether Hermie will get to be a dentist and whether Rudolph will get his freak on with Clarice.

Craig, I didn't know you had roped Heidi into the new LEGO obsession!! You guys should build a LEGO house to live in!

Maybe you can throw something in there about how people seem to want instant gratification more now thatn ever. Putting in the time and effort to acheive a goal is not something many people want to do anymore. Just as an example look at the quest for the magic diet pill rather than working out.
