To me FF sucks, but it's all a matter of preference.
Just curious as to why you say that? Firefox is faster, crashes less, is more intuitive, allows for greater amounts of customization, and integrates a lot more stuff into its interface.

Has anyone tried Opera? I have been using it for years and it just keeps getting better and better. You used to have to pay for an ad free version, but it was recently made completely free.
It does most of what Firefox can do without having to spend time installing and configuring extensions. Everything can be customized to your liking. Toolbars, menus, keyboard shortcuts, mouse gestures, skins, etc...
I've tried Opera, and in fact have it installed on my computer as well, but I don't really like it as much. I think part of it is that it feels a little more cluttered, possibly because it keeps the tab row visible, and I rarely use tabs (may seem odd, but I like to be able to see several windows at once)...I'm sure that's customizable, but I haven't bothered to look as FF is quick and easy.
I just loaded FF the other day and am very happy with it so far. I think at some point I'll give Opera a shot, but I agree, IE is dead. Hey Microsoft, IE 7? How long will it take before you get behind on the patches? Let's see it's been out for 2 weeks????..... I'd say you're behind already.

I think it has to do with the fact that I've been using IE for my entire life and it does what I want a browser to do. Everytime I use Firefox on someone else's PC, it just frustrates me as I can't find what I want, etc, and I never needed fancy bells and whistles.
Although I do have a version on my work PC to make sure the websites I work on display correctly on both browsers but that's all I use it for.

IE or FF? The reason I ask is that I've been having many more crashes lately with IE and have been thinking about FF. In fact, we just talked about it a little today in my MIS class. If I want FF, do I have to leave IE on the computer? Does it end up taing up a bunch of extra space. Bah, I should do actual research on it.

Firefox hates NFL.com. I love FF and will never switch; but my crack habit of gamecasting NFL games on Sundays is taking a large hit right now with the crashes every 15 minutes.

Another great thing about FF is using the NoScript extention; it is probably not for beginners, as you have to "train" it to allow the various sites that you want, but no javascript or such will run unless I give it permission. I just hate having ActiveX issues with IE, along with other inherint security issues. On a rare occasion, I need to use IE for site compatibility, but that is pretty infrequent.

IE crashes all the time... FF NEVER crashes. I've left it on my computer, because, as others have mentioned, some sites are not FF friendly. But most are, and the experience is fantastic.
The only good thing TS ever did on this site was give me a link to some quick edits that doubled the speed of FF. Incredible browser.

You'll want to leave it on. MS's updater only works though IE.
Or you could use http://www.windizupdate.com, which works perfectly fine with FF That being said, no reason to uninstall IE anyway, what with HD storage space being so cheap and plentiful, and I doubt IE is very big anyway, as far as programs nowadays go.
