Default Woohoo...

My 2 month old is sleeping through the night I am one happy momma. Until 2 days back he would get up at 3:00 AM for his regular feed and then at 6:00 AM. But not any more He sleep straight until 5:00 AM takes a quick feed and then back to sleep again. This leaves me with enough time and energy to go for an early morning swim

Good for you Ruma! I know you will hate me for this, but I was one of the lucky ones. Our son has slept through the night since the night we brought him home. He was 3 days old. Please don't hate me.

Wow, you are SO lucky! My twins were up pretty much around the clock every 2 1/2 to 3 hours, up until about 6 months. Good for you!!

Wooohoooo Ruma thats awesome!! I wish both my boys would sleep through the night! One or the other still gets up to announce they are going to the bathroom or wanting a drink of water. Lucky girl!

Jamie I am nursing. So I wonder how he can manage 6 hours straight without a feed. But he is gaining weight, so all is well.

JJ..I'll have to say lucky you !! I am just happy for you and your wife.

Jenn, my older one started with that trick.. one last trip to the bathroom or one last drink of water.. but he got over that soon. Your kids will also get over that, I hope, very soon

Congrats, Ruma. I'm sure you're counting your blessings. I just stayed with some friends that have a 1 year old who still wakes up every 2-3 hours and screams every time he wakes.

Way to train that new baby, Ruma!! We lucked out with our two girls. The older one started sleeping through the night around 2 months, and the younger one by around 4 months. They've both been great sleepers and rarely have even awakened us over a bad dream. In fact, I think the only reason the older one has ever awakened us is due to puking all over her bed with a stomach virus.

He is toying with you. He will lull you into a sense of security. You will get used to sleeping straight through the night. Ah, then he will pounce. LOL

It's that good Mamma's milk that fills him up and gives him what he needs. I find it utterly (no pun intended ) amazing how our bodies work to change with the babies growing/changing needs!

RacerBill, have your friends thought of adding another nap to his/her day? We just added a 2nd nap back into Jack's day and he's sleeping better at night than he has in MONTHS!! It was a Ferber idea.

Jamie, I'd trust your "Mom" instincts in a heartbeat and I'd bet you're 100% right. But friends with kids don't want to hear any advice from this single guy, no matter how good the source!

You're probably right, Bill, but now that you are armed with good information you can keep it in your pocket and when the right time comes up, you can throw out the "Ferber" name and make it totally their idea. Also, "How to solve your kids sleep problems" makes a GREAT Christmas gift.

I know I did something wrong with our kids and now my darling JP is going to be able to remind me... I have been excited that my 3 year old hasn't woken up in a couple of weeks. My daughter was the best at starting to mostly sleep through the night at 14 months.

Great job! Enjoy it while you can.

People who aren't parents just can't appreciate the infinite awesomeness of a full night's sleep with a baby in the house. It's almost better than the sex that created this whole situation several months ago.

Mahler.. did you whisper something in my baby's ears? He was up at 3:00 AM yesterday Well, he did not take a full feed at 11:00. So I knew Mahler's words would come out to be true..

Some of my friends still struggle with their quite grown up kids full night's sleep. So getting my baby to sleep through the night have in some way become my top priority. Soumil too started sleeping through the night when he was little less than 2 months. It was babycenter.com that provided some helpful tips. I need to check the book Jamie is talking about.

Yeah.. it does feel lot better than sex I agree. Nicely put RL.

Spandan is sleep sharing right now. I have placed his crib right next to my bed. Makes it so comfortable.
