Default For the parents...

When I was a kid my dad coached me every season. Every season for every sport we did team photos. I never paid them much attention. Until last year when I coached my son's t-ball team. I went back to my parents house. Found the boxes and boxes of team phtos from over the years and pulled out all of mine. The memories it stirred up were wonderful and made me young again. I am now finishing up the second season of coaching my own son. I want to give him what my dad gave me. I want to help him have the memories when he is an adult that I was given.
Yesterday I recieved a CD from one of the team dads. He had been in the stands all season snapping photos. He put them on a CD and gave every parent one. It is incredible the amount of pride I feel when I sit back and watch my son all over again experience these times in the photos. Not much point to this post except to say, get out there and make some memories with your kids. Don't leave it all up to them and don't push them just to make you happy. No one cares what it is. Just get up, get out and have some fun. You and he/she will both cherish them for a long time and be better people because of it.

Good stuff, rookie. We have more photos, video, compilation CD's, etc., of our son playing baseball than we can count! Every once in a while looking back over the very young pictures is a fun trip down memory lane. I totally agree with your post. Good times and good memories.
