Say what you will about Biotest regarding their products or their prices, but I'll tell you what, they sure have their crap together when it comes to customer service. I've ordered a lot of products off various sites on the internet but I've never encountered such quality service as I've seen from Biotest.
I placed an order this a.m. and received email notification less than six hours later that my stuff had shipped and contained the tracking number. Truly impressive!! On top of that, I ordered more than $50 in products so they threw in a box of MD Bars for FREE!
Their products may be over-hyped and a little over-priced, but service like this is one of the reasons I continue to buy from them.
Suppose to be 3-Day shipped but I bet I'll see that box on Monday...
Just thought I'd share...Ted

I feel the same way. Where can you find a better tasting low-carb MRP? NO WHERE. And seriously if you can't afford the supps, don't buy them. They just make life easier. Of course you could get all your nutrition from real food, but some people dont have the time.
I too support Biotest/T-nation. I don't order every month but when I do need some stuff I'll usually order enough to get the free shipping. And as the guys have pointed out you get your stuff SUPER fast. Couple weeks ago I placed a small order, but enough to get a free box of their protein bars. Ordered wednesday night, and got my order Friday morning.
Some of their products are probably BS, but if you get the basics you are getting top notch stuff, and the customer service cannot be beat.
Agree with all you guys. I order enough for free shipping whenever I do order, they usually throw in something extra, and it gets here very, very fast. They've got the service end of things down cold.
I was a little anxious for my BCAA/creatine so I could start my new program...based on your responses, I probably could've done the normal shipping..........oh well...
Everything I've ever ordered from Biotest came within two days, but usually comes next day.
I'm running low on LC Grow and want to try the new Grow Whey product. But chocolate LC Grow (now Metabolic Drive) is pretty hard to beat. (Except for maybe half a scoop each of chocolate and banana.)
Has anyone tried the new Grow? And how is it?

Everything ive got from them has been pure crap. im sorry. ive tried a fair amount of it too, none of it made any difference what-so-ever and made me poor.
I dont really think they are overhyped though.. other then this site and t-nation, nobody ever seems to even know about biotest.
Bulknutrition has amazing service, and I always get my package in 2-3 days. Cheaper than biotest and you have a greater selection of stuff.

What did you purchase? You can't say that their proteins are crap. Or their Flameout, ZMA, or creatine.
I ordered Hot Rox Max strength. The customer service was excellent. THe product successfully emptied my wallet.
That is all.

Right now they got a deal that if you spend 50 bucks you get a free box of MD protein bars. How many companies offer that kinda deal?
As I mentioned before I think that if you order the basics (ie protein, ZMA, creatine, Surge, Flameout, maybe Power Drive) you'll be happy. It's the other products that I'm skeptical about and simply choose not to purchase.
On freebies and indsutry norms: I don't know about Biotest in particular, but throwing in 'something extra' when it comes to consumables usually indicates a company is approaching or past their expiration date on the item that is the freebie. Occassionally a company will do it because of a severe overstock position but, again, that usually doesn't happen unless the product shelf life looks like it will be reached. As an example, Performance Bike will often heavily discount a well-known supplement (like a power gel or drink mix) that is about a month or two from expiration. If you don't use it immediately, it can go bad (or with bad consequences in the case of a Clif Power Shot I bought made with organic rice sugar - as I was about to consume it, my buddy commented that the package looked old and told me that his friend works at Clif and the organic rice sugar, which isn't pasteurized, will become a breeding ground for bad organisms that will make you very sick - needless to say, I tossed all the ones I had). Once the stuff has reached it's expiration date (sometimes a very short shelf life for some products), they can't sell it anymore. Just an FYI - it's a pretty common practice, so check the expiration dates on the freebies (well, on everything is a good habit anyway).
I got chocolate and vanilla MD this time and I cannot tell the difference between Low Carb Grow and the new MD. I think this is the best tasting protein on the market.
My freebie this time was a Metabolic Drive bar (not a BOX, just one). I DID NOT like that bar, hahahahaha. I usually make protein bars at home using recipes from Gourmet Nutrition. What I make tastes much better to me.
What did you purchase? You can't say that their proteins are crap. Or their Flameout, ZMA, or creatine.
Spike - they lied on the dosage of it. I could take 10 of these and not a thing that a $2 bottle of caffine would do.
biotest M- never did shit. Was expensive.
Metabolic Drive - strawberrey - probally has some good protien in it, but this stuff is plain old sick tasting. Plus it did not mix well at all compared to my ON and CN whey.
I wouldnt buy flameout for the price it costs. Probally is convenient. Its pretty hard to screw up ZMA or creatine so im sure they are good.
Ive just had bad experiences with their products in the past. I will agree they have alot of smart people working over there, but they are not the be-all-end-all of supplements like many people on here think.
I don't like the MD bars that I've had (cookie dough and rocky road, I think). I've heard great things about the peanut butter ones, but they don't have them, at the moment. Seems like they rotate the flavors (or keep ditching them to find one that will be popular).
While touted as healthier than other protein bars, this ingredient surprises me: partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil.
Transfats AND soybean oil. Two unhealthy ingredients for the price of one!
LD, Yeah, there are not really any truly healthy protein bars that can be mass produced.
Frank, I don't think Biotest is the "end-all-be-all" of supplement companies. I just like the taste of chocolate and vanilla MD (neither of which you've tried). There are certainly other companies that make just as quality a protein product and for much less money, I just personally don't like the taste of the ones I have tried. So to each his own. I do not think Biotest's many other products are worth the money (with the exception of maybe their creatine or ZMA if you want to take those supplements). I don't even buy their fish oil product. It's not about being all for or all against one company. If someone asks if I like their protein or think they have good service, then the answer is yes.
i've never ordered from them, but i think their products are overpriced. You can say that about a lot of companies though. I'm not doubting that their protein tastes good, but besides that, a lot of their products seem... eh. I don't need fatburners, or the rest of that stuff.
The thing i don't like about that site more, is how all the noobs posts always go..
"hi, i'm looking to bulk up. My diet sucks, but in my cabinet i have:
flameout
hot rox
surge
grow
spike
beta-7
ZMA
powerdrive"
I guess t-nation does a good job marketing the stuff, but people on that site need to wise up, and realize that just because they take every supplement they offer, they won't get big without actually eating food.
Alco, the key is to not read the forum part. Just the articles, Locker Rooms, and Blogs.
The forum part really gets tiresome, sometimes. When I have a legit question, I just get a bunch of nonsense answers unless I ask in the articles or Lockers.

yeah, their forums are a bit of a joke. They wonder why everyone refers to them as a bunch of meatheads. Just read a few threads and it's quick to understand.
Pretty typical...

There was a time when the forums at that joint was filled with some pretty knowledgeable people. The discussions were awesome and sometimes, better than the articles in terms of information on training and diet.
No longer. I won't travel back to the forums there since the last time I did (once, several several months ago), my IQ dropped. Pretty scary.
I use to use a lot of their supps (even won a LOT of free supps from them) - but THE BEST supp ever for training? Food. Best ever. Swear.
Just a follow up...package is on my front steps at home per FedEx.com...sweeeeet!
