Worst Monday ever?
I started this week with a bone scan, which I posted here:
I went to see an oncologist, who verified the radiation procedure, including some abnormalities I wanted reassurance on. He also agreed to be my quarterback, calling the proceudres and coordinating things, which is a HUGE load off my shoulders. The details are here.
I closed the day out by GETTING HIT-AND-RUN BY A PICKUP TRUCK WHILE I WAS ON MY BIKE. Nothing was broken, just really bruised, sore, road-rashed and all that. The full report is here.
I would say that definitely qualifies for a very VERY bad Monday!!! It was very clever of you to ride only a few cars ahead of an EMT, but next time ride behind the hit-n-run jerk in the pickup truck. Heal those sore spots fast!!
Fish, that IS a crappy day! I am glad to hear you are ok though. My sister-in-law had a hit and run while she was on her bike a few years ago. She was banged up pretty badly with a few days in the hospital and put on blood thinners because she ended up with blood clots.
It's official, you had the worst Monday of anybody I know.
I'm relieved to hear that the injuries are minimal, considering it was a truck-bicycle accident. I sincerely hope that the asshole that hit you is having a terrible time with his\her conscience.
I hope that your recovery from this is swift, and you'll be riding again soon.

Wow Fish, what a mix of bad and good luck! I'm glad to hear you have a doctor that is taking control of a lot of things for you, huge load off your mind I bet. Also good that an EMT was on scene for you to help you out right away, it sucks though that you got hit. I hope your week gets better! I think Monday was a bad and weird day for a lot of us. I helped pull a guy out of a bad wreak and treated a lady the ran into a parked golf cart! I hate Mondays!! You are in my families thoughts.

Sorry to hear it, Fish. That's a whole lotta shit in one bag. Glad to see you're blogging and posting here about it, though... many people would have bottled themselves up and started sulking by this point.

Not only do you have cancer and got hit by a truck....
Your wife gets to say, "See I told you you should have come to the mall."
Feel better my friend!

Man that sucks. You are doing a heck of a lot better than I. I think I would be so mad that I would make that stupid old lady cartoon, Maxine, look warm and inviting.
I'd give you some inspirational things to say here but you don't need them and are much better at giving them out.
fish,
You forgot to tell the EMT about your other condition. You are terminally funny. I am dying here. What an uplifting attitude. My only thoughts at the time would be to somehow find the pickup truck, the guy and a blunt object.
I am thankful that you are okay and will just add these injuries to the list of things I pray for about you. LOL

Good to hear you are ok fish. I would say that you definately had a bad Monday. I hope all heals fast and you find the person who did this to you by chance so you can thank him for being the person he is. What a douche.

Fish, I cannot tell you how much I respect and admire your outlook. After all you've been through and then this deal with the accident. The tide has got to change at some point, eh? Keep the faith! Ted
