I brush my teeth three times a day at the very least (4-5 on weekends), and I use 'Oral-B Anti-Bacterial Mouthrinse with Fluoride' 1-2 a day (morning, night or both) but sometimes I still feel I have bad breath. When people stand close to me while talking I become uncomfortable and sometimes turn my head away as I speak, just incase. This can make it awkward for the person I'm speaking with, and obviously can begin to cause problems.
How can I make sure that if I go out for the day and eat once or twice, I won't have terrible breath by the end of it?
I'm not looking for tips like keep listerine strips in your pocket, I'm wondering more if there is a certain type of mouthwash I should be using, or toothpaste, or toothbrush, etc.

Try chewing on a parsley sprig. It works very well. Also, check your diet as sometimes bad breath smells eminate from your digestive tract. If as Brian says, it is from ketosis, you are pretty much SOL.
Brian/Kaiser - I'm getting more than enough carbs, but I will try to straighten out my diet to see if it's something I'm eating too much/little of.
Lost Dog - It only lists the 'active ingredients' on the bottle, but I'll keep it to once a day before bed to see if that helps. I don't have dry mouth. I actually use to have the opposite problem - an increased saliva flow (wet mouth?) - a year or so ago, but it seems to be normal now. Also I'm not on any medications.
Fish - I had no idea that could be a link, thanks for pointing that out. I'll keep a closer eye on my water intake.

You said you "feel you have bad breath", do you actually know that you do? Ask someone you trust to let you know if it really is bad, it might be just your imagination or something you're obsessing over for no good reason. My boss has halitosis occasionally and doesn't know it, but he appreciates it when I let him know. Tactfully, of course. :p
Like has been mentioned already, floss every day, drink lots of water, scrape your tongue and chew gum. Extra Polar Ice tastes great and lasts forever. Also visit a dentist, you could have a gum infection or an abcess.
