Was wondering, can drinking alcohol go bad? I have a few bottles of opened and un-opened wiskey, vodka and gin. How long would it all last, and what type of conditions should spirits be kept?

It won't go bad in the "get sick" way. Maybe lose some flavor or gain a bad flavor.
Unopened, it should last a long, long time, as Colonel Potter showed us, on MASH.
Opened, I think it depends on: how tightly it's recorked/resealed, the temperature that it's stored at, and how much has been removed from the bottle (more air inside allows more surface area and contaminants in, etc.).
Even opened, it should still be good tasting for 6 months or more, depending on your level of "sophistication."
We had some Irish Cream go bad...but the hard stuff is still drinkable.
I have opend some wine that I've had for 7 years and was GREAT and I've opened a few that was not. Still have three cases yet to open.....it a crap shoot but fun
Thanks for the quick reply. When I said "go bad", it includes going off taste. For me, that's equally bad. I guess I'll have to finish the opened ones, but I can keep the sealed ones for some time to come.
In Malaysia, which is a muslim country, booz is a really famous and widely available product! We have beer and alcoholic drinks sold in 7 eleven, and all hypermarts sell alcohol. Even muslims consume alcohol, on a regular basis. This is orfourse not allowed, and you can get arrested for it, but if you be descreet and don't over do it, its no problem.
Whiskey- The youngsters drink of choice is Jack Daniels, and black label. Personally I can't stand whiskey, would rather go for vodka, flavored kinds.
The ONLY whiskey i enjoy *sometimes* would be Green Label. Its really expensive, but well worth the money.
Do you have Tiger beer in USA or Canada? Its made here, and its Amazing! Quiet strong and full flavored.

I'm with Shannon. The title of this thread is very misleading. I was hoping for a bunch of stories that started out like this: "There was this one time when I..."
I still don't see how the title is missleading? Its very easy to understand. If it was "I drank a bottle of gin, and something weird happened", the it would throw some ppl off.....
