The lady that I have been seeing for the past several months has just informed me that she has been reading my workout log at JP's since I started it a couple of weeks back. She said that she can tell by my workouts and my comments what kind of a mood I will be in. That just seems a little treacherous to me not to speak of invasive. Whatever happened to the anonymity of the internet?
We don't even technically live together and def didn't back then.
At the end of the day we are posting to a non private area, The internet. If you don't want people to know, don't post to the 'net.

Sorry I shouldn't assume but at least the two of you are posting on the same site and you know she is here.
The reason I post here is the same reason that all or most of you do as well. To get the feedback from others with the same interests not to have my life monitored by someone with no interests in the fitness side of my life.
Her point is when we started dating she checked out JPfitness and read my posts without me knowing.
I'm hardly going to get mad at someone for coming to a public site and reading posts I wrote. That's assinine IMHO.
Whatever your reason for posting you have to know this is a PUBLIC forum. IE these is 53 people connected and 22 of them are guests.

Oh and another thought, if she is interested in you, she IS interested in the fitness side of your life, it's a part of you.

But I can definately empathize with your (ex?) gf in this instance simply because in the initial stages of a relationship, the more interested you are in a person, the more curious you become about them, and the more info you try to gather!
But I can also see where you're coming from, if someone read my diary without my knowing I'd be pissed right off.
I guess it all depends on what you consider private.
It also seems presumptuous of her to think she can figure out your mood so easilly although you've only dated a short time.
So you two are finis, now? I may have misinterpreted that.
Just to clarify I have known this lady for a number of years and we have dated on and off for the past few. I did mention this site to her as I have shared some of the humorous links that many of you provide. So it is at least partially my fault. I didn't think she would be examining my log every day especially for her stated purpose. She is a good friend so this is not a throw her to the curb thing but as I stated I think it is just wrong. Your posts pro and con let me look at a couple of other view points and other than airing this out that is what I was looking for.
To Quote the great Bartel's and Jame's guys "Thanks for your support".
I worked with someone who posted comments to a blog about their job. When it was revealed she got very upset and said "it's private". Wrong. If you don't want her to see it either take it offline or put it on a secure site that requires a password. Anything on the internet is public. If it were so anonymous, how would she know that it was you?

How did she know you keep a training log here? Did you tell her?
Ah...

Anonymity is only guaranteed if you keep it to yourself.
