What a great trip! Thanks for posting the link. My family and I did some day hikes on the AT in June in Vermont and it was so very fun. I would love to go back and finish a bigger section of the trail. Have fun!
It could be, I got it out of a collection of vintage photographs. We also have a place much like that here in Arkansas called Hawksbill. Beautiful in the snow!

I've done bits and pieces of it here in NC. I'd like to do the whole thing someday though not in one hike, do a state/yr or something like that. I get bored hiking. :P
